Not at all....you did a great job on those! Where did you get the stainless drawers??? Nice look. I may design and put one together myself as well, but I was thinking more along the lines of wood. Now you have me thinking twice!
Can anyone recommend a good cabinet solution for a garage? I am not looking for anything big, straight and 10' in length, but would like a tall cabinet, and bench top area with hanging tool storage above and drawers underneath. Thanks!
OK, thanks. I was hoping it could be done with just sanding. Did it remove alot of the first coat or just scratch it up so the second could adhere? I assume then you just swept out the dust. Did you wash at all with water?
My kit arrived missing the squegee and Part A had spilled into the 6 gallon bucket. Didn't matter much however, since A doesn't harden until it touches B. Bought a new squegee and did the job in about 1.5 hours (after probably 10 hours of prep work (cleaning and etching) over 2 weekends)...
Thanks for all the advice. It turned out to be well worth it once I saw what a couple straight drops did when it hit my driveway. Green, smoky.... this stuff was no joke. In either case the etching is done and was a success. I first used the bottle that came with the Epoxy-Coat kit and that...
Did the cleaning last weekend and ready to etch this weekend. I received the Epoxy-Coat kit finally and the bottle of acid/degreaser that came with it is really small. Most threads here recommend to use it straight with no dilution. For this reason I went out and bought more straight muriatic...
Can you get the metal mixer at Home Depot or a place like that? Good suggestion, that would really piss me off if the thing broke in the middle of the project.
So you just used the solution they provided for etching full-strenght? What did you use to scrub it in with?
I spent Sunday prepping as well. At least until the thoughts of football and cold beer overwhelmed me. What I thought would take an hour to clear out the garage ended up taking 3. Anyway, I then blew it out, swept and powerwashed. I cannot believe how good the power washing worked...
I finally decided on Epoxy-Coat and put in the online order. This website and all your discussions have really helped my decision making along, thanks to you all! As with many of you I research the hell out of everything, and the info on the prep is great. Anyway, still waiting for the...
Thanks. I actually read some more about the Epoxy-Coat per your message and it got real good reviews. Just ordered the package from them online. I will be posting pics as I go!
