I had Frigidaire dehumidifiers go south on me in 2016, again in 2019, again in 2020. When I purchased the new Frigidaire dehumidifier in 2019, I did something that I do not normally do. I purchased an extended warranty. I’m glad I did. The new-in-2019 Frigidaire crapped out in 2020. Using...
Looks like a great installation.
Your most recent post says: "MaxJax says "maximum tightening torque of Anchors is not to exceed 60 ft. lbf" so after 48hrs of epoxy curing time I installed at 55 ft/lbs and bled the system."
I thought the recommendation was torque to 90 ft. lbs. Can you tell...
I used a Bosch SDS drill bit made for drilling into masonry with rebar. Here is a link.

I didn't see anyone mention JIS screwdrivers. For those cases where you can't get away from a phillips screw, the JIS version reduces the 'camout' problem.

I tried a Lutron Decora rocker illuminated switch, and the illumination is very dim. Does anyone have any experience with a different brand of Decora rocker illuminated switch, where you see a good amount of illumination in the...
I'm looking for a good Decora style illuminated switch. At my old house years ago I installed a couple of illuminated switches that had neon bulbs in the switch. These lit up nicely and were very helpful in locating the switch in the dark. In my current house I installed a Lutron CA-1PSNL...
When I used the epoxy, the consistency was like a combination of thick caulk and sand. The anchors definitely stay in place when curing, requiring nothing to keep them in place. In fact, it took a fair amount of hammering to sink the anchors into the epoxy down to the required level...
This might be the thread you were remembering:

The discussions on bolt hole covers begins at post #983.
I agree with most of this. The only thing that I have read about (but I have no direct experience here) is that with a 4" slab thickness the drilled hole will go all the way through the slab, and there could be issues with the epoxy flowing out the backside of the hole. Maybe this is where the...
