    HVLP for automotive

Another vote for the DeVilbiss FLG as linked above. Keep it super clean (remember when painting you can never have something too clean) and it’ll work for primer, sealer, base coat, and clear coat, direct gloss and/or single stage. I'll give you pro results and last a long time if not...

Paint booth floors and overspray... question for the painters...

I use this product at work in our spray booth: Grippy Mat Booth Floor It’s durable, you can drive on it no problem without it tearing, bunching, etc. You can vacuum it when you need to as well. 3M also has their DIRT TRAP line of products you can put down on the floor.

    Spot welding question

There are seam sealers and adhesives made for spot welding through. They can get messy and expensive. Another option is to prime the mating surfaces with a quality primer (epoxy is best) let it dry over night and then shunt the spot weld. See the below link for more info on that process...

Die Grinders / Tools for Tight Auto body Cutting

This is a must have for tight spots. Cut what you can with a cut off wheel or saw and finish with the belt file sander. This with an 80g belt will remove material quickly. mc

Applying clear coats - painters advice needed!

Lacquer thinner or acetone for gun clean up will work. Home Depot should have both. Id do 3 coats (light tack coat on the first) with at least 5 min flash between. Push that out to 10 min if the temps are in the 50s. After the 3rd coat, let it sit for 15min and then put the IR lamp to it. Make...

    Paint shop flooring

I’ve put this down in my paint booth. New Pig- Grippy Mat Not a coating, but works well to protect the floor from overspray. Lasts a long time, can vacuum it for clean up. You can buy and mist on a dirt/static control solution for added particle control. Added bonus of having a little...
