    Air lines

Rapidair Maxline for me, flexible and easy to run exactly where you need and easy to expand later if necessary.

The skinny on compressors in 2024

I have a Champion 5hp, 2 stage, 80 gallon from roughly 2010. Never had a single issue with it. I will say, it's about maxed out as far a duty cycle goes when using my sandblaster continuously. But not really a big problem for me as those days aren't that common. Other than that, I feel like...

    Which cordless ratchet?

I've had the Makita 18V for a couple years now. I don't use it super often but it's works great when I do. Also nice that it comes with a 1/4" and 3/8" anvil.

Anyone ever cut a granite counter top?

When I had my countertops installed, the guy used a regular old grinder with a diamond blade on it. Super clean cut.

    KRA toolboxes worth the bother?

I have the same box with a little side cabinet. Paid my neighbor $1100 for it about 10 years ago (I was in college and he let me make payments). It certainly gets the job done but I really don't think it's much better than a current day Husky box. Been thinking about possibly selling it or...

I bought those same Snap-on clamp pliers a couple weeks ago and got to use them yesterday. Also pleased with them.

    Trying to understand air couplers

When I built my air system a few years ago, I went with all 1/4" Milton V series. Easy to find 10 packs of plugs and whatever thread size couplers you need on eBay. And just like Pinemartin said, I ended up making a short adapter hose if I need to use one of my tools at a friends house but...

    Let’s see that Vaco stuff!

Stumbled upon this thread yesterday, anybody interested in these? I have had them for probably 20 years and never used them.

    Extension cord for welder?

It wasn't cheap but I have a 25' from Cyberweld. 8 awg wire. I think I would make my own before buying some chinese junk off Amazon.

Heating a detached garage with room above

Heater, propane tank, exhaust piping, stuff to hang it, mines on a dedicated electrical outlet, and I had a HVAC guy run the propane supply. Heat rises so that would be your friend for the upstairs. Maybe consider some fans to either help push the heat down up blow it upstairs.

Heating a detached garage with room above

I tried a ventless propane heater a few years ago, never again. The condensation it caused was insane, the fumes were bad, and it still wasn't that warm. I settled on a 80k Big Maxx on a 120 gallon tank and it's been excellent. No fumes, great heat, no condensation. I keep the grage at 45 when...

    River rock instead of lawn?

That looks like a pretty ideal situation for a robo-mower. Walking on river rocks is an ideal situation for twisting an ankle.

Perhaps hand the smaller trailer down to your son? Then it's still available should you need to use it.
