I guess even the mods, admins and people running this site don't know the answer.

Below 265 SQ/FT So it begins, building a 12x14 "motorcycle garage" shed

Hmmm, nice but I'd never leave my Harleys in a plywood shed so close to the road and so far from the house. I'm just sayin'.

I haven't been in here in awhile and I just tried looking up some pictures I uploaded in the past but can't find them. Seems to me I used to click on my avatar to bring up my pic file. Was there a change?

How often do you move your giant toolboxes?

Back in the 80's it used to be stacked chests. The taller the stack the more respect I guess. I knew guys who had step stools next to their boxes to reach the top box! No adays it's spread out instead of up. :dunno:

I move mine maybe once a year just to sweep out behind them.

Sign of the times... pawn shop closing

I've been a fan of pawn shops for years. Most of my hand tools are 70's-80's pawn shop finds. You can't beat older Craftsman sockets for 50¢ each or a $5.oo 1/4 drive Snap-on ratchet that only needed an internal cleaning to work right. Also ran into a guy once selling a like new DeWalt portable...

    New Compressor

I finally got too tired of the racket of my 6 year old oil less HUSKY compressor so I found a good deal on a new super quiet Kobalt model, also oil less. The new Kobalt offers 26 gal. capacity and a slightly larger twin cylinder pump. Only changes I made were the addition of a water separator on...

    Concrete work.....Does this seem normal?

Unfortunately shoddy work is becoming the norm. Businesses and contractors today want to maximize profits by cutting back on materials and quality labor. In recent years I've had problems with several contractors to the point that I almost expect to get hosed by every company I hire. I had a...

Why am I the only one in my neighborhood to pay for a backflow test every year?

Me wanting to be a good neighbor, I'd offer my neighbors the opportunity to each pay me $10 a year to NOT ask the City why I'm the only one that pays $40 for the test. That way they save $30 a year and I get mine for free plus!

    NOS craftsman belt/disc sander

I have that very same machine. I think I paid $75 for it with the stand about two and a half years ago. The asking price was $125 and the only reason I got it so cheap was because it didn't run when I bought it. Turned out that the power cord was faulty in the switch box and once I wired in a...

    Please ID this

I know this came from Western Auto and I can find pictures of the regular charger but none like this "Booster - Charger." Looks like late 50's early 60's. Any info on this?
