    Vintage Motorcycle Shop

Finally all packed away for winter. It's surprising how many bikes you can stash in a given space, if you slide them together and only use center stands.

    Vintage Motorcycle Shop

Just wanted to update everyone here, that the plans for expansion were put on hold, at least for this year. Got busy on a few other non-shop related projects as well as disappointed in the quote I got for this project. Coming in at '''$65 dollars a sf, didn't sound like a wise investment at this...

    Motorcycle Garages Only

Well maybe 10 years:), at which point I may be ready to begin thinning the herd. I try to pace myself for 3 restorations a year. That's 30 more!:D Most of my bikes are either already restored or survivors that just need to be left alone to maintain the best value.

    Motorcycle Garages Only

Here's another pic from a different angle in my vintage MC shop. Just finishing up the restoration of the red Honda S90 on the far lift. Here's the '65 S90 finished up! And a couple of pics of my rarest Honda, a 1961 CB92. All parts are original Honda from that era, not some fake cafe' ****...

How to display Motorcycle inside house?

The wall between your living space and garage will or should have 5/8 inch fire rated sheet rock. As for the bikes there is no fuel in any part of them and minimal oil. You can not smell any vapors or odors. No vehicles in a garage or house are covered by a homeowners policy ever. My bikes are...

How to display Motorcycle inside house?

Here's an idea that I came up with to display in my walk-out basement. I was looking for an original shipping crate for old Honda's to incorporate into the design, but instead used wood from pallets and a vinyl runner stretched over it to catch any drips. Haven't had any drips in 2 years...

    My new Phoenix garage/shop build

Great space, I really like the layout design. How many SF is the entire shop? Can't wait to see the finished project!

    Motorcycle Garages Only

Didn't realize there was a separate thread for Motorcycles garages only. Since I built mine for just that purpose, I might as well throw up a few pics here. I have two lifts for performing anything from minor maintenance to full restorations. Here's my work area. A line of mostly Honda's Some...

    Vintage Motorcycle Shop

:beer:I like your lighted displays. How many people was needed to lift them up into place? Here's another shot from the shop, I took yesterday, showing some of my smaller bikes and a couple trail bikes. Today, I was getting a little Z50 ready for a grand kids first lessons. :D

    Vintage Motorcycle Shop

Thanks for the comments everyone! Yes 250, I've posted there on several topics as well as many Vintage Motorcycle forums. Mike, the Kawasaki triple you see is a '73 H1D 500cc triple. Just to update: As far as the shop addition that was mentioned in the first post, it has been postponed...

    Repair anti siphon valve

Yes the hose was left on as I had been watering trees (70 degrees then down to -17 in 10 hrs). When I went out to remove the hose, I couldn't even turn the valve and ice was hanging off it. Even after thawing the valve it required more heat to get water to flow so I could then drain the line...

    Repair anti siphon valve

Last winter an unexpected cold snap caught me off guard, before I shut down the water to a walkout level hose bib. I was able to thaw it out and then shut of an interior valve that's in a heated area that feeds it and drain the line, hoping for the best come spring. But I apparently got the...

    Vintage Motorcycle Shop

No scooter's at this time, but a friends Cushman was the first 2 wheeled motorized vehicle I ever rode! I've limited my collection to only Japanese built bikes up to 1975, and still have a few newer ones that I now need to get rid of. The Rabbitt is an old Japanese scooter, so would love to find...
