    One More Lift Engineering Question

Your dad is right, bias the vehicle COG as close to the pivot in it's worst condition (max height). If your concerned about the table tipping when in use in this orientation (you shouldn't), you could easily mount some tension wires toward the front. They could sit outside of the lift...

Have a Metabo and wouldn't have anything else. Love it.

    Best source for Wera tools

I was looking at some Wera screwdrivers today, and Sears.com has a few sets that competes with Amazon price wise...maybe even a tic cheaper.

What did you do "TO" your garage today?

Re: What did you do to your garage today? Little mower and weed eater PM, and started sanding some OLD metal cabinets that I bought from my buddy after his dad passed away. I don't have much free time, but I wanna take my time on em and try to make them nice again....I think he'd appreciate that.

    1/2" cordless impact wrench

Just a follow up. Here is the one I have. 325 ft-lbs, 2 batteries, etc....bare tools are about 100 bucks. I replaced my Dewalt drill with a Makita when I bought this set, and fell in love. http://www.acetoolonline.com/Makita-BTW450-18V-LXT-Li-Ion-1-2-Cordless-Impact-p/mak-btw450.htm

    1/2" cordless impact wrench

I have a Makita that's worked great for me. I think it came with a free 1/4 impact, a tool bag, charger, and two Li-Ion batteries for less than 400. I also bought a bare drill for less than a hundred dollars from amazon since I already had two batteries, and everything has worked great! These...

    Vice-grip storage question

No pressure! The loading is low enough that it doesn't matter, but clamped with pressure creates stress. Would you like to wear a 1 pound hat all day, or no hat at all? Neither is gonna kill ya, but one is certainly easier on you!

    okay wth are these

I think the brush on the right is supposed to be a handheld ice scraper/brush, and the door was for a spare key. I don't see the scraper end though, and can't tell if it's broken off. I remember seeing them in my moms car as a kid though...

    Know anything about "O-Ratchet"?

Funny you ask that! I just found a set I purchased in 1993 sitting in my toolbox. The early versions used a clip to hold the socket on, and that clip fell off. I emailed a couple of old distributers and asked for some advice, and they essentially told me they closed and no one would honor the...

    Cornwell tool cart

Cornwell used to buy, rebrand, and sell Waterloo boxes. Once folks caught on, they commisioned Waterloo to build proprietary boxes for them, so people couldnt get the same exact box for hundreds less. Lots of companies do this (Sears purchases Waterloo as well). I would take that money and...
