    Starting welding class on Monday

Good luck in that class. Ive been through a welding program at a Tech college near me, going for a degree, almost done, just need a few CAD classes. MIG process is fairly easy to learn. Ive taught my brother just a few things, he's been welding things for his car. Ive done hard wire, flux...

Too many projects. What you got?

I'm sure it happens to at least some of us. Projects start accumulating, then there's list that never seems to go away. So to start, I have: Car projects: -1983 Mazda rx7, this is a "from the ground up" project. -1976 Triumph Spitfire 1500, complete restoration needed. -19?? MG MGBGT, rust...

    Lift or pit?

Pits are dangerous imo. I myself fell into one but caught myself from going all the way thru. Worked with a guy who told me he fell in one and broke his back. Lift.

    Fixtures/jigs for tig welding.

Well I finally got around to finishing my fixture. I just used scrap metal that I had laying around. This is what I came up with. Ive got to plates clamped down, but they were not level so I'll need to put something underneath one plate, like I did in this picture. I should be able to do...

    Fixtures/jigs for tig welding.

So my main idea here is to make a jig/fixtue for welding thin/small plates with the tig process. At school they have these fixtures that you can clamp the work piece to. Whether it be a but joint, lap, T, or corner joint. The fixture provides somewhere for the heat to go. And the clamps keeps...

    RotaryTech's Garage

Update. I've built a better welding table. I think its still a work in progress, but this will do for now. It can roll around my garage floor, It has a removable slats design, and panels to weld on. It has a panel or under-tray to catch sparks, and has storage space underneath.

    Welder Cart

Got my cart pretty much finished up today. I know most of you build yours out of metal, but this way was cheaper. Problem is, its a big ol cart. But its got potential for more storage or something.

    RotaryTech's Garage

The cart is pretty much done. There alot of room on this thing. I could slide the welders over & install some drawers or something.

    RotaryTech's Garage

So Saturday I was working on a welding cart, still needs some work. I know, its made from wood, big & bulky, but it should do the job. I'm going to make "guard rails" for the tanks, and something to wrap the cables around.

    Welder Cart

What ever you buy or build for a cart, you will want room for a tank, trust me. You'll end up getting a tank in the future, lol. Today I almost got done building a cart for my welding machines. Tomorrow ill post up what I built.
