    Air Lines, Food for thought!

I am not sure how most auto drains work on some compressors but here is what I did. I removed the petcock valve from the bottom of my compressor and installed a brass elbow. Added a 4-5" length of tube to that and then put an electric solenoid valve on the end of that. My thinking there is that...

    Air Lines, Food for thought!

I am in the process right now of plumbing my shop for air. I have a 30'x40' metal building. I have a modest 5HP Devillbis compressor running on 220V. I am going the rubber hose route like what was in the American Woodworker magazine. I was able to acquire at a very reasonable price several...

advice for packing content's of garage?

I sold a house out in SoCal last year, moved out of it into an apartment for 6 months then moved from there 1500 miles to KS. I actually bought a 40' semi pup trailer and put a majority of the stuff I did not need at the apartment in it. When we got our house bought in KS I moved it in and...

    Adding a bathroom to a barn/shop

Buy a composting toilet. No need for sewer at all. Not the prettiest but most likely cheaper than the other options. As for the sink the drain should be defined as gray water and I think you can just run that out on the ground. Not an expert by any means but something to think about. James

    Hanging Electrical outlets

Some good suggestions. I had thought of something like a piece of rope or bungee cord to take the weight of the box. Then the wire braided around that. Since I am 6'3" I will put it at just under 7'.

    Hanging Electrical outlets

I have a 30x40' metal building. Fully open in the middle. I am adding electrical outlets in a lot of places. I would like to drop a 220 and 110 outlet down in the middle of the shop from the ceiling. Ceiling is 12' high. Anyone have suggestions for holding it there. I would not think it would...

    Need opinion on drill press

Owen, It appears like it may be to late but I have a 4yr old or so Craftsman that has served me well. I just sold my house out near Riverside and just do not have room for it. I put it on casters for mobility. I used it for both wood and metal. If you want to know what you could have had, look...
