    Tools that you miss

I am going to call this "Tools that I will miss". Last Friday I had a pickup stolen from right in front of my place. Reported it, and filed a report. I had told several friends about it being missing and Saturday, a friend called me and said he found the truck right off I-70. It was recovered...

Craftsman Block motor Bench Grinders - What's the Fuss (with resource information)

I have two Craftsman grinders, a 1 HP and a 3?4 HP. The 1 HP has a label with no visible markings other than 1 HP, a number 8213G3120 and Sear Roebuck and Company across the bottom of the label. It's case is a lot taller than the 3/4 HP grinder. The 3/4 HP model number 397 19671 is ball...

    Small Wilton Vise Help

The jaws on my vise are 3" wide. The ad posted earlier, refers to a vise as a Juno. After examining my vise, I think it is a 1106 Juno. Sadly, the pipe jaws are missing.

    Electro-Mechano 601-J Drill Press

Originally, it was 3 phase 440 but has been converted to single phase 120. I saw it on an auction sale bill which listed it as variable speed. That is why I wanted it. I got it home and discovered it also had a back gear for low speed operation! The top lever operates the variable speed and the...

    Electro-Mechano 601-J Drill Press

I bought a 601-J at an auction several years ago. I've used it quite a bit and it seems to function really well. Does anyone have a history with Electro Mechano and the quality of their products? This drill press doesn't have a rack and pinion table raising option. Anyone have an idea how to...
