I get the hog ring kits right off the truck; comes with the rubber o-ring.
I guess I'll ask my Matco guy about a replacement anvil. Crappy part is my good guy retired a while back and I have a new matco guy that is more of a prototypical tool truck guy. Treats me like I'm wasting his time...
Most of my 3/8 stuff is chrome but I have a little 1" impact extension that I use as an "adapter"
It is a legit impact adapter. When you put a socket or the adapter onto the anvil it just flops around. It is especially annoying when R&I an axle because the M8 or M10 bit wants to stay in the...
Never knew that. Of course I use chrome sockets on it all the time. I mostly only use it for speed over power and when I do have to power something off I put an impact socket on it.
I'm going to do a test. New hog ring and o-ring then nothing but impact sockets on the gun. We'll see how long it...
Yes. I buy the hog ring and o-ring together off the truck. The o-ring seems to disappear after a few days and then the hog ring starts letting go again. Its worse on certain sockets than on others.
Hi Guys/Gals,
I've got a Matco MT2120 3/8" impact. I use it a lot and I love it. Problem is, it drops sockets. I've already replaced the hog ring a bunch of times, it just seems to last a few days. I'm thinking I'd like to replace the anvil itself but I can't find a parts list for these guns...
Hi y'all. I just got back from 2 months in Alaska and my air hose on my ceiling reel is leaking right at the 3/8" end. I'd like to repair this using some sort of banding clamp in order to avoid the worm drive clamp hanging on the end of the hose. It's just an aesthetic thing. Anybody know...
I like 'em both. The BP is a little slow though. I've seen a lot of lifts in operation and it is by far the slowest one. Even my customers make notice of how slow it is.
The manual says to use ATF for the fluid. These guys put "Warren 303 Tractor oil" in it. Sometimes I feel like they...
Here is a sticker on my Whip:
It says "evaluated to ANSI/ALI ALCTV:2006 and ANSI/UL Standard 201.
The motor and pump are exactly the same as the one on my bendpak. Same mfgr. MTE, made in Mexico.
Are you implying that the Whip is not made in the U.S.?
I recently purchased a Makita 18V impact driver (with the little quick lock drill chuck thing). I was in a pinch because my compressor broke and I had a whole slew of big jobs lined up and I wanted something for the interim while I waited on my new Quincy to show up from Northern.
Buying it, I...
