Hear me out. I have a bench that is outside as i like to work outdoors in the summer months while it is nice. I am wanting to attach a carpenters flush style mount to it and then make wooden T bases for thing like my bench grinder, buffer/polisher etc so i can just set them down into the...

Once spring hits like today (its 70 degreess) and nice days all summer i want to be able to go from the house to the garage (detached) withouout worrying about squirriels or other garbage animals getting into the garage when i am not looking. Good UL Listed Magnetic Power Strip

I did end up picking up the masterforce one at menards for $30. The magnets are worthless. I plugged in one thing and it fell off. Its going right back to the store.

Good UL Listed Magnetic Power Strip

I am looking for a Good UL Listed Magnetic Power Strip. Nothing longer than 18 inches and a short cord is just fine. The outlet is about a foot away from where i wanted it mounted. Just something with strong magnets for the side of a metal workbench and something certified that isnt a POS. A...

    Strong drawer dividers or ideas

This might actually do the trick. Probably a bit overkill actually. Sadly the deal is over. Dang it. I probably could have had it for around $18. Ill have to take my measurements and watch for another sale if it looks like it might fit. It's something worth condsidering either way. Id like to to...

    Strong drawer dividers or ideas

    Strong drawer dividers or ideas

Yeah those would work great if they were much deeper/taller as you mentioned. It really just needs to be a long right triangle....not a Z shape. Magnets on the right angle parts for the bottom and back with the angled part facing up in the drawer. Maybe 1" of material bent into a L or right...

    Strong drawer dividers or ideas

Thanks. Yeah i am thinking of that as an idea as well. They sell those neos in a small bar that are supposed to be super strong. I might get some sheet metal and bend it up and epoxy the magnets to it and give it a try. Heck...even some thin wood would probably work and be cheaper too

    Strong drawer dividers or ideas

Im looking for drawer divders or ideas. You know those expandable bars that OTR Truckers use in their trailers that ratchet out to hold the load. They have rubber on each end and expand out across the trailer and stay in place Do they make anything like this but smaller? I want to put some...

VISE REPAIR 101 all vise repairs, lubricants, sources for parts and the tricks to fix

did the qtip trick on my craftsman wood vice and it came out ok but that same method made a mess of my Stanley 700 corner vise. The logo is so tiny the paint bled into the recessed area. Im going to respray and try a tooth pick i guess. I cant imagine a paint pen would be much better.....and i...

VISE REPAIR 101 all vise repairs, lubricants, sources for parts and the tricks to fix

What about detail painting the lettering on a vise. Was that mentioned here>? I have a older craftsman wood vise and am looking for a good paint and application method for the logo. I assume enamel and maybe a good paint pen with a fine tip? Any recommendations?

    sheet metal workbench top

Thanks! Im not too concerned about the mechanics of the table. its all sealed inside it self nicely. Its just a set up heavy springs on a release which is cable actuated. Its quite simple. In the end im only into it for $25 for the whole thing. I suspect it was probably a couple grand brand new...

    sheet metal workbench top

I picked up a ~60x30 desk......and its a decent heavy laminate top with particle board. the nice thing about this unit is it is a lift table so it goes from about 20 inches low to right up to your eyeballs high....maybe 5.5ft or so with a flick of a lever. the legs and base are...
