    Vintage Grinder Sticker Reproduction

Here's a picture I took of the original when I made the .ai file. If you print up a "more accurate" version, I'd love a copy too! http://s1303.photobucket.com/user/jwwsector9/media/IMG_5659_zps6xmesubv.jpg.html

Hey cman, sorry about the delay. Here are the 1/3 HP label files https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B2Sqi1r8gkMDSk5qcmNlZ2VPZTQ&usp=sharing The file I used to print from case-badges.com was similar to the one labeled "Label Illustrator 1 3 HP Transparent vector ready.ai"

    Craftsman Commercial Block Grinder label

Hi pendragon, I am not sure what material they are made of. The website never really specifies. If I had to guess I would say they're a vinyl sticker. Here's the website description of them http://www.case-badges.com/metallic-rectangular-custom-labels-3-x-4-max-p-360.html They call it a...

    Craftsman Commercial Block Grinder label

A few updates to this thread: -I have been notified that I messed up the vector based file! It still required the fonts, meaning that I didn't properly convert the text over to vectors. I believe I have fixed the problem, so delete the old file on your computer (to avoid confusion) and download...

Thanks for the input above guys. Has anyone found a source for the little feet that go on the bottom of the heavy duty base? Supposed to be part 5219033 "Foot and screw assembly". They're quite different from the little rubber grommets that go on the grinder itself. I looked in the hardware...

CM Block Grinder plastic eye shield clean-up

This thread is quite timely for my current project. I have a pair I am trying to clean up now. I was wondering if anyone has taken a series of progressively increasing sandpaper grits to theirs to get rid of deeper defects? Mine are looking much better after being cleaned up with some toothpaste...

    Craftsman Commercial Block Grinder label

I have been working on a digital version of the "Craftsman Commercial" block grinder label. This particular label is for model 397.19671 but can be readily adapted to some of the other models with the same design. I ended up changing the font for the majority of the text to Century Gothic Bold...

New version of the Craftsman Commercial block label, updated with Futura font. Wasn't able to get the exact one that altersaddle mentioned due to price but the Futura Condensed Medium is reasonably close IMHO. It is a little heavier (more bold) than the original Thoughts?

Excellent!! Looks like a great match to me based on web samples. Will do more searching later in the week to see if I can find a downloadable version that is free, or cheaper than the $20 I just found How the heck did you find that? :lol_hitti
