    Shopping at Harbor Freight

Re: Shopping at Harbour Freight fantastic. not sure how well they hold up as serious pry bars but for general work and using the striker to shock a fastener they work pretty good and have been holding up for me. i've had mine a few years and a bunch of my buddys have picked them up as well.

Is there an adjustable angle jig to hold pieces perpendicularly?

Nothing like using dynamite for a fly swatter. This is a brilliant solution to aerosol cans.

    Shopping at Harbor Freight

Re: Shopping at Harbour Freight Some of the earthquake impacts are good. Shockingly good things for the money, ratchets, tool boxes, the blue screwdrivers with striker plates, but most stuff is pure junk.

    DIY/tool/automotive-related books

Turbochargers hugh mcinness is probably the best turbo book ive read. The current version of automotive technology is worth the price of admission. Many many things learned about stuff i thought i already knew. Pay for scanner danners website, a real complete course in automotice diagnostics...

Tools for Toyota Harmonic Balancer Bolt

It seems to be a common problem on toyotas. I have an ls430 and the bolt had been off previously less than 3 years and had to resort to the starter bump. Im worried of taking heat to that nut and damaging a seal or the dampener.

    Basic Tool Kit

This is old, but i saw the other guy mention cripe, another source is pawn shops, you can scrounge their bins of loose tools and put together a set for virtually nothing. For less than $30 i had a complete set of sae and metric wrenches nearly all usa, some japan and germany. I dont mind...

Tools for Toyota Harmonic Balancer Bolt

Definitely as in you definitely think it was stronger than the flywheel teeth or you definitely ripped the flywheel teeth off? This bolt aint **** compared to the 54mm nut on a rotary engine flywheel, the actual tool to remove this gargantuan nut bolts to the engine and locks into a few...

Tools for Toyota Harmonic Balancer Bolt

Obviously i try an impact first, but you gotta piss with the **** you got. If the guy is asking about a dinky electric, he probably doesnt have air or a good air impact. Like i was saying, ive had good tool truck impacts even fail to get it done while just a small bump has never failed for me...

Tools for Toyota Harmonic Balancer Bolt

Starter bump for the win. Just do it with the car on the ground not on jackstands, it can lift it off. If you arent familiar with this, disconnect all fuel and spark fuses. Crank the engine to ensure it doesn't start. Place the strongest breaker bar/t handle you have against the floor, then...

    Sunex V-Groove Wrench Set

Yes. As long as the caliper jaws are parallel with the reference surfaces the smallest measurement is the correct one. The shortest distance between 2 parallel lines is a perpendicular line. The only way to get a longer/wronger measurement is if the jaws are not perpendicular and we introduce...
