If I set them so they are off a few inches they would land on the flats... Makes it easier but I don't know if it will be noticeable. I will pry get a few people to hold them up so I can stand back and see how far they are off and if its noticeable

Absolutely correct! Any "injection" style oil would work. Yamalube works well for it and that bike will not use much anyways. Keep it simple. Run good gas and an injection oil and you will be just fine. The only time I would say get away from a manufactuer brand oil is maybe in a high...
