Kind of an obvious answer, now that you point it out. :) Thanks!!

probably a stupid switch location question

Can I put a switch on the opposite side of the same stud a panel is hung? Or should I move it over in the cavity to the next stud? And do water lines in the same stud cavity matter? Thanks, Skip

Pioneer mini-split: happy? wish you'd spent more?

40x40x12 shop. 19walls/38ceiling insulation. Three garage doors (two insulated, one roll-up non-insulated). Probably 24K Inverter ++. Planning to hang what I can and then have a pro finish. I haven't decided where to hang the outside units - hard to judge esthetics and especially sound...

Pioneer mini-split: happy? wish you'd spent more?

Hopefully this is an appropriate poll (still kind of new here). Just wondering if those who've bought a pioneer mini-split are happy with it, or if they wished they'd spent more for a premium brand. I'm very tempted to buy a couple. Thanks!

I've had this one for two years. Just used today. I'm very happy with it. https://www.pressurewashersdirect.com/Pressure-Pro-PPS3030HCI-Pressure-Washer/p16430.html?utm_source=order_update&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=product

    sanity check - GhostShield 4500 & 8510

Well, I finally got the shop emptied. No one wants to play me at Tetris any time soon... I was disappointed to find a lot more stains than I expected. I've been trying some different products, trying to determine what will clean the floor the easiest. Krud Kutter worked a little. Maybe...

Ethernet Cable - through attic, exterior wall, pvc...

One is for security cameras. The other is for home network/internet. Thanks! I used to know what to do. Like many things, my cable knowledge has gone somewhere else. UV & waterproof, if I don't do conduit. I should have known that. :) Shielded? Thanks again, Skip

Ethernet Cable - through attic, exterior wall, pvc...

So, I need conduit? I figured I would. But hoped I could get away with just clamping the wire to the exterior wall. That's a bummer. I can't think of another way to get to the closet without hitting the attic from the exterior. I'll look again tomorrow and see if I can think of anything...

Ethernet Cable - through attic, exterior wall, pvc...

So, I need to get two ethernet cables to my shop. I have a 1" (or maybe it was 3/4) pvc going from exterior of house to interior of shop. I need to go from exterior of house, up the wall, into attic, through attic, and down into my master closet where my router & NVR live (already have...

roughing in lighting wiring - LEDs & dimmer

The shop is not really big... ~40x40x12. I just wanted very, very bright. :) I like 1 switch to control all the lights. The dimmer is a "just in case" I want/need to tone it down. I'm not sure how bright this will actually be. There's a chance I never use the dimmer. But if I need it...

roughing in lighting wiring - LEDs & dimmer

I'm about to start roughing-in the electrical in my new shop. Just want to double check - I think I understand what I'm doing... Based on a plan from Platonic Solid, I'm doing the following... - Qty.16 SLB2 Series LED Slim Linear High Bay, 2 Foot, 95 Watt, 12,445Lm, 5000K CCT, Dimming -...
