Clopay Garage Door Decorative Trim - solutions?

The doors are awesome! Sounds like no trim is ideal way to go for the future (less work than cutting/installing new ones)

Clopay Garage Door Decorative Trim - solutions?

Did he just paint the doors a solid color without any trim? We are still exploring the options since we do like the two tone look on the doors. Need to photoshop different ideas. Thankfully, our doors are in great condition. They were painted with very specific Sherwin-Williams paint that...

Clopay Garage Door Decorative Trim - solutions?

It does and we had to use specific paint on the doors and design trim to help - getting 11yrs of no problems is not too bad. Replacement is definitely not happening as thats a complete waste of money. Debating removal of all trim and painting the design. Perhaps there are other options...

Clopay Garage Door Decorative Trim - solutions?

Looking for some advice from like-minded individuals on how to best replace this warped trim. **I do not need to know what caused it nor how to avoid it ** Our 12 year old insulated Clopay garage doors (2 double doors and a single door) have glued on decorative trim pieces that have seen better...

Mailbox Post - Detective work or weld if?

Over the weekend my dad accidentally backed into my mailbox. This created some nasty damage on his car and left me with a broken post. I wasn’t too worried about it until I went to remove the post today to replace it. The post appears to be some odd ball based on my hours of searching the...

California Air Tools Compressor - Cold Start Valve issue

Air compressor’s exhaust/reed valve was replaced using feeler gauges cut to size. All works well again!

California Air Tools Compressor - Cold Start Valve issue

Looks like it was the exhaust valve. It’s an extremely thin piece of metal that appears to have broken. I’m able to still source the item although it’s highway robbery at $34 for a single thin piece of metal. Any idea what this is made out of? I’m likely going to make my own rather than pay...

California Air Tools Compressor - Cold Start Valve issue

Motor sounds normal. I ran the unit for 50seconds with the cold start valve and it didn’t get past 15psi. With the cold start valve removed (and plugged in a non-elegant and sealed way) it got up to 62psi in that same time. However it wouldn’t go further in a short amount of time more. I...

California Air Tools Compressor - Cold Start Valve issue

Pressure switch visually looks good. No leaks externally between compressor to tank nor pressure switch. I am wondering if there isn’t something up at the pressure switch given that I did trip the breaker twice before and now it’s building pressure slowly.

California Air Tools Compressor - Cold Start Valve issue

With the cold start valve the unit is building pressure, but it does appear to be struggling to get past 62psi. In full disclosure I couldn’t seal the cold start valve completely. It does appear to be building pressure slower. I’ll take a look at the pressure switch next. Any other thoughts?

California Air Tools Compressor - Cold Start Valve issue

I’ll give that a shot. I’ll take it apart to see what I can. I’m still not sure about the cold start valve, but will check for leaks elsewhere that may be contributing to this.

California Air Tools Compressor - Cold Start Valve issue

I’ve got a 6yr old 10gal CAT-10020 air compressors that started acting up this weekend. At first I noticed the air compressor didn’t kick back on when the pressure dropped during use. Come to find out the breaker tripped and so I reset it (it was an odd thing to occur since only the TV and...

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

I agree, Bill. I haven’t seen anything in my searches that would allow me to gain full potential of that space yet either. Nice quote
