    USG 56" Drawer Slide Replacements

Hey gang, The 56" HF USG tool box I purchased back in 2008 is finally starting to fall apart from daily use. I've got an Epiq in my sights for later this year, so this box needs to get through the daily torture until then. Getting replacement slides from HF is a pain in the ***, I mean...

Sorry guys, I edited the first post to reflect my initial duties. "I will be doing mostly residential service, with some installation thrown in when the install guys need help. I know we're getting into commercial at some point, so I'd like to be prepared for that. (Commercial guys, what...

Getting into HVAC, need tool suggestions!

Hello folks! Getting out of the automotive field after a bittersweet 10 years. I'm starting into the family HVACR business, and I want to start off on the right foot. I need tool suggestions from people who are in the business. With most of my automotive tools being SO, I want to make sure I get...

    Scan tool time!

Hello friends, it's been awhile! I purchased a Solus Ultra about two years ago now, for doing sidework since I was working for Mercedes for the past five years or so. I'm not really impressed with it by any means, and yes, I have VAGCOM as well. I work on mostly euro cars on the side. Anywho...

Anyone ever have a quality / warranty issue with their HF cabinet(s).....?

I use my HF 56" everyday in a dealership environment, and I love it. Once I fill it and the side cab up, then I'll upgrade to a Montezuma or Extreme Tools 72" with hutch and retire the HF 56" to the house. I haven't had any issues with it, so I definitely recommend it.

    Thinking about a career as a mechanic/technician? Advice/help welcomed.....

I'll throw in my two cents as well. I was working at an independent out east on Long Island for 5 years before I decided to pick up and go to a dealer. Wound up getting a job at Chrysler and I've been there for about 9 months now. Got fed up with the garbage management, crappy warranty times...

    Any Mercedes techs here?

I'm sure it's a hell of a lot better than working on Chrysler products, because these are the worst and warranty times ****, and there is no money to be made with that garbage, although the product is SLOWLY getting better, the way things done, times, and pay won't get better.
