I used a fine point on a small grease gun using all purpose grease. Mistake. That stuff is too thick and makes opening the drawers a bit more difficult. I’ll probably just leave it but if I get groggy I’ll clean it off and use something thinner.

2 car garage on slab here coastal VA. My floors will be drenched on humid days. I just keep the doors closed as much as possible and run a dehumidifier. No worries.
