Searching for small quantity of 18" PVC pipe

Why a no no? Eon old technology. Roll mills are ancient. Computer control is the only really new application. Stan

Searching for small quantity of 18" PVC pipe

This machine is for special, soft metals. Steel wheels run the risk of damaging the stock (Note that the wheels on the machine are aluminum; even that can damage the stock...hence strong PVC.) Plus, easy to repair the PVC if damaged, and you don't have a million dollars worth of "cores" sitting...

Searching for small quantity of 18" PVC pipe

Thanks for checking your stash! The USP deal fell through; they will only sell the pipe in 20 foot lengths and $450 freight to Richmod. Found one of the Ebay dealers this morning who happened to have 59-1/2" piece that he is cutting up into 5 same size lengths for me. That's gonna run right at...

Searching for small quantity of 18" PVC pipe

It is only a rolling mill; makes metal thinner, to a specified thickness. But since it "squishes it" to mate it thinner, the width gets wider also. I can only say that we make "specialty metals". Anything more than that and I would have to kill ya. LOL

Searching for small quantity of 18" PVC pipe

Thanks much for the lead(s)! US Plastics does have it available at a reasonable price (plus, I have an account with them). So, will be ordering 5 1ft pieces from them tomorrow. For those who were curious what I needed schedule 80 @ 18" diameter, it was because I need the thicker wall of...

Searching for small quantity of 18" PVC pipe

This is a last ditch effort... Trying to find a source for small (8 inch wide) cuts of 18" diameter schedule 80 PVC pipe. I can find 20 foot lengths of the pipe, but at $2,500 plus freight, that's a LOT more than I want to spend. As big as this site/forum is, I figure somebody knows somebody...

What is the best tap & die set for the money?

As an old DoAll salesman, thought I would throw this in, to help with definitions on die use: Five die sizes and types The die cuts a thread on a preformed cylindrical rod, which creates a male threaded piece which functions like a bolt. The dies shown in the attached picture are top left: an...

Advice on Adding Security to Detached Garage

Exterior Lights...exterior lights....exterior lights. I have over $150k worth of Harleys + parts in my sheds. I also have 16 dusk to dawn lights that have been on for 30 years. A fully fenced backyard that has only one entrance. Motion sensors in the sheds that sound 1)an alarm to wake me up...

    Stopping feasting squirrels??

I have 4 (yes, four) trailers. Two of them (a 8x20 enclosed and a 4x7 utility converted to bike hauler) have been the subject of, evidently, squirrel banquets. After sitting all winter, I noticed wires dangling yesterday. Upon close inspection, vast amounts of wires are GONE! Short of...
