If you notice in the pictures the right side has a dark and a light spot. It's hard to tell from the pics but that usually means that it was cracked prior to the final break. Could have been from manufacturing or from the last time you used it.
That channellock comparison isn't fair either...
Legal and safety concerns aside, yes they can be welded but if you have to ask you probably don't know how to do it properly.
If youre welding a rust pin hole skip it because welding up the hole isn't solving the problem that your tank is getting thin.
Why do you want to weld it anyway? My...
In those legs I would just drill another through hole directly behind the pinch bolt. It doesn't have to be a monster bolt as it shouldn't be carrying any load. You don't need to tighten the **** out of it. Its just to keep the legs from pulling out.
On a beam like that the largest stress is...
Bull, I feel like you could use some appreciation after all of the months of ups and downs and all the drama associated with this thread. Thanks for setting this up for us. I hope all that has happened won't prevent us from having another group buy.
I bought a dental compressor at auction for $20 a year ago. It was from the 60's. The tank was tin foil on the bottom. Poked a screwdriver through it on one spot. It was a pelton and crane twin pump model. I still use one of the pumps but I scrapped the tank.
Ask yourself would you expect a...
That part number is for a single impact socket. Somebody was having a bad day when they put that add up. Might want to contact zoro as a courtesy so someone doesn't get the wrong thing.
I use one of these smaller triagular drain pans. It doesn't work for my diesel but the cars its about perfect. I just toss it in the parts washer when im done and its easy to clean because it's smaller.

None of that stuff on their site is made in a Valley factory in California. It's all tawain and china rebrands that you can get elsewhere under different brand names.
Look at the About page on their website. They pretty much come out and say that they are buying this stuff not making it...
Search completed listings. A new 15T pump went for $2500 buy it now and a used compressor in way better shape than yours only got bid up to $410. Yeah that tank is smaller but a 50 year old tank holds little value.
At $1800 youre going to be reposting that add day after day for a long time to...
Since its a big tank you should be able to see inside through one of the openings. Take a look and see what it looks like and go from there. Most likely its probably either going to look good or youre going to know right away that you don't want to use it.
Not much has changed in the design of...
Heres a 2695 8 1/4". Not sure why the seller thinks its worth $250. Is there something special about these?

The 36 tooth cornwell ratchets are really smooth and have an amazing handle. The warranty is a little more difficult. They can be had on ebay for less than $30. I use these way more than any fine tooth ratchet I got including the snap on dual 80s but if fine tooth is important to you keep...
I doubt youre going to find one. Those air powered mini vacs use the bag as the filter for the air to pass through. If it had a cup it would need a mini filter to exhaust the air which I don't think would lend well to size and weight.
I got the ss5n5 which is the same compressor on an 80 gal tank. Ive had it for at least 7 years. I'm just a weekend warrior doing body work as a hobby.
The motor smoked the day before the warranty was up and IR sent a new one no questions asked. The second motor has 4 or 5 years on it now and...
I have the same subaru as you and I used a semi deep on a flex head ratchet to put in the motor mounts without pulling the engine. It's a 5 minute job with the engine out of the car but I almost ran out of swear words trying to change them without pulling the engine out.
I didn't so much need...
