    Hillbilly vise stand

Looks great. When I saw hillbilly I pictured an integrated mini fridge with beer keg/tap or gun rack or something. You sell yourself short, I think anyone here would be proud to use that.

    Homemade end cabinet scrap build

Thank you! I did a cheap work surface build to match the rest of the box that came out OK, it is in another thread though.

    Snap on pt850

I got one, it's mighty nice. Holding it in one hand and 725 in the other they feel the same... The 1.x pound difference isn't really noticeable. However there are things that are noticeable to be. -it feels way more balanced in your hand. Like the weight seems more centered over the top of...

Can anyone value this? laser frame computer

Hah, bummer as I scrapped the laser! Oh well. Here's hoping someone wants the other bits. I put them up for a few hundred/offer. Got a $200 offer on the accessories, so we'll see how the next two days go. It's all stuff that was headed to a landfill before it was discovered in the junk...

Can anyone value this? laser frame computer

It is made by Chief, indeed. A predecessor to velocity. I threw the accessories and PC on eBay for the weekend just for fun. If no bites then the PC will get recycled and the accessories salvaged for usefulness (magnets galore), then artistic use, and what's left recycled.

Can anyone value this? laser frame computer

Yeah, I went digging through everything (apart from the dust it was basically in delivery-condition), the instructions only say to connect to the internet to retrieve the activation code and that it is a frequent check system (didn't explicitly say that you paid annually, but hinted at it)...

Can anyone value this? laser frame computer

That's kind of how I figured it would be.... and I don't suspect the bits are useful on other systems etc. My concern with updating the computer with new software is that it likely won't be sufficient (be it due to OS, processor speed, ram, etc), never mind that there is a high probability that...

Can anyone value this? laser frame computer

Hey guys, So I was doing some further excavation in our body shop and came across this gem no one was even aware we had. It literally has never been used as far as I can tell, was poorly covered in a plastic sheet for the last decade, then had years and years of old bumpers etc stacked on top...

Weld on office chair broke. Any thoughts about having it welded?

Just drive the cylinder out first, then weld away. They are compression fit and will side right off after a hit or two. If it's necessary, make some brackets too while you are there. Just don't do it with the cylinder in place, as was noted before.

^^^ nice! I keep thinking about getting one of those split top carts. I really like the corner trim on them.

    Downgraded my workbench today

Maybe... A guy at work said "just sand it off". Stuff is tough, but peeling o-k. The front edge was a nightmare when I did it, but that was a few years ago maybe that is why the rest is easier now that it is even older. I'll be done peeling it tomorrow, maybe try polishing it a little. I...

    Downgraded my workbench today

Well... I picked at a scab and couldn't stop. I replaced one of my SO work surfaces a few years back because the material was nicked on it, and I ended up making a roll around workbench from the old work surface. I had carefully peeled the front edge of the work surface off to make it look...

Apparently they have a new SO composite 1/2" impact, MG850. We'll give it a go and see how it does!

Alignment machine recycle... need ideas on the boom

The drive on lift is not being dismantled as I still use it for quick lifts. I do think I have another set of turn plates though.... They didn't fit the rack right so I got different ones. I can't remember for certain if I threw out the old ones or not though... I'll check tomorrow.

Alignment machine recycle... need ideas on the boom

Wise advice indeed, and you'll surely be right. A favorite comeback of mine when people regret to stuff like that I have as junk etc is "well it's all junk until you need it" But I also hate not having a gameplan!
