    Garage in a Garage Renovation

There is 50 + page build thread on Pavementsucks.com and Pirate4x4. It started out as 1/2 ton gasser with an auto. After a few different drivetrain combos, went to a diesel with a manual, locked rocks with coilovers. The truck has taken a beating. It may get dismantled after the lift...

    Garage in a Garage Renovation

And some poser pics: Besides the garage, we have been doing a ton of landscaping, added in almost 100 plants, and redid some light wiring

    Garage in a Garage Renovation

Cleaned up some more. Found some water lines behind one wall in the inner garage, so getting running water in there won't be so hard at afterall. The next biggest challenge will be completing the airlines --> need to get some threads cut, then dope in all the remaning lines and connections...

    Garage in a Garage Renovation

There is a certain feeling of satisfaction that comes from making this stuff at home versus store bought stuff. A little more organizing done, but actually wired in the subpanel and started checking all the outlets. I got the compresor to run for the first time -- surprisingly quiet...

    Garage in a Garage Renovation

Built some tire racks. I was worried they would hold, but so far so good. :) I used some leftover black pipe, bought some chain rated to 500 lbs, and used some cut french cleats to stabilize the back side. I put the Shelby wheels up first to see what 200+ lbs would do, then went with the truck...

    Garage in a Garage Renovation

I took the compressor off the skid by myself ... and about watched it go through the back wall. I thought I could balance it on one leg and kind of weasel it off, but it didn't go so well. I should have waited for help. The area to the right of the drill press will be where the sandblast cabinet...

    Garage in a Garage Renovation

I cut up another 4 sheets of plywood (and at 17 cleats per piece of plywood making 136 total feet), I am almost at a quarter mile of french cleats. Another piece of plywood has went into just the cleats and other hangers. :D Wiring is almost done with the subpanel wired up. All but one 220...

    Garage in a Garage Renovation

Fairly sure the outer garage was an addition. It had to be added on shortly after original construction. It was not on the house design/plans, but the headers, boards, and trusses are all the same type/manufacturer as the original house. I have an engine hoist, but let a friend borrow it while...

    Garage in a Garage Renovation

Slowly but surely. I painted the inner garage and put all new trim in. I hope to tile this floor like I did the rest of the basement, so I left a gap tall enough to slide tiles right under. You can see the first 220 outlet wired in on the last pic. Overall pretty happy despite Lowes screwing up...

    Garage in a Garage Renovation

I finally got the back walls of the garage painted. I wired up my first 220 outlet -- swapped in a 30amp 220 breaker and got the wires in. Starting to paint the inside garage walls now. The inner garage will be painted just like the outer garage with the exception of a yellow stripe in place of...

    Garage in a Garage Renovation

After a 7 hr drive, 2 stops at BW3's, and somehow the same amount of money to just drop ship it to my house -- we got the compressor home. It took 4 of us to pull it out of the truck and get it on the ground. Very awkward weight coming out of the back of a 1 ton 4x4. Not exactly sure how I will...

    Garage in a Garage Renovation

Thanks for the link - I am using a lot of info on there for my cleanup. Going in alone on it. Bought a full face respirator and chemical suit. Going to pick it all up and clean up about a 1 foot area around each pile of feces. The garage is 1400 square feet and the quotes I got are in the...

Harbor Freight 13 drawer tool boxes $271.99

We bought two more of these today. Still a great value (was a phenomenal value at 271). I may go back and pick up two more next week with a top and side box.

Any experience with harbor freight hoses?

I bought one a few years ago for my at home garage use. It has held up fine. My only complaint is that is kinks pretty easily like a garden hose. You have to roll it out carefully if you are stretching it out.

Hydraulic Fittings Okay for Compressed Air?

For what you are doing, it would be fine.
