    Storage Rack - Joist Question

Thanks guys. After thinking upon, reading these responses, and looking into it a bit more, I’m going to run 2x6 across 4 joists, then bolt through that into (2 bolts into a joist, 2 bolts into just the 2x6). That will let me run perpendicular like I wanted and should hold well i believe.

    Storage Rack - Joist Question

Hello, I bought a NewAge Products VersaRac (http://www.homedepot.com/p/NewAge-Products-Performance-96-in-L-x-48-in-W-x-42-in-H-Adjustable-VersaRac-Ceiling-Storage-Rack-in-Gray-40151/205003289) storage rack for my garage, but my joists aren’t cooperating the way I originally planned to mount...

    Racedeck Freeflow question

So in this picture, the garage doors are along the bottom edge - one in the lower left corner, and the other one in the middle where the first “hump” is. The solid black are walls/garage door where tile needs to be trimmed. Orange is outside the house and can be ignored.

    Racedeck Freeflow question

I’m getting ready to install Racedeck Freeflow in my garage and have realized my staggered garage doors are going to be a problem. No matter how I space the tiles, one of the doors is going to have a ~6-8” gap of ugly bare concrete between the edging and the door. Is there any way to cut the...

    Minisplit Disconnect Question

It’s not a problem to have neutral switched off when the hot wire is switched off? I found a number of sites in a Google search that suggested not to do that, but the context was not exactly the same. Thanks!

    Minisplit Disconnect Question

Hello, I’m wiring for a MR.Cool 12k btu 110 volt system. I ran 12 gauge THWN from the main panel (20 AMP gfci/arc fault breaker) to a disconnect, then from disconnect to where the condenser will be. The disconnect is a Square D non-fused 60 amp (setup for 240 volt so two lines in/out on the...

    Wilton 75th Anniversary

Received mine from Amazon/Coastal. Some dust and scuff on end cap, no big deal. It does have some light brown streaks on the anvil portion that I’m assuming is some form of surface rust? Should I use steel wool to knock that down?

Pricing hasn’t been released yet but the current sale price is $2.69/sq. ft. so I’m hoping it’s even cheaper...

    Arc Fault protection

Thanks for the input everybody. It sounds like I may need to go back and pull the outlets and try to actually fold and place the wires in an orderly fashion instead of cramming it all in after adding the outlet. Ugh, but better safe than sorry, right?

    Arc Fault protection

I am in the process of adding a 20 amp circuit and approximately 8 outlets to my garage. I am confident that I ran the wires correctly and sized the electric boxes correctly, but on some of the outlets, I had a difficult time getting the wire and the outlet to fit into the box and ended up...

+2 on ribbed tiles, and also metallic epoxy if you carry it. Close to pulling the trigger on one or the other.
