Show us your pb swiss tools!

From my experience, dirt stains Swissgrip finish very fast and easily (the vibrant red does not help really) but all the grease/dirt I have encountered washed perfectly well with WD40. A good spray and wipe restores the finish as good as new.

    PB Swiss Tools

I've found that ISO standard for hex key has a tolerance for each size. Here's what I've found : http://www.globalfastener.com/standards/detail_2415.html If you read carefully PB Swiss text doesn't state that 0.025mm is the tolerance up to 10mm size. It says at 10mm size, tolerance is less than...

    PB Swiss Tools

My 0.02$ about PB Swiss tools Can't comment on durability yet as I have not used them long enough to evaluate that. Build fit and finish are second to none. Absolutely love the swissgrip, can't comment on the other styles. Machining of drivers/bits is excellent, very sharp, very well defined...

    Tools from the old world

Got one, used it maybe 4 times before the bottle cap cracked. It's low quality stuff that works a finite number of times. I'm thinking about a DIY alternative that would be better build.

    Tools from the old world

Hi all, Would someone be kind enough to post a picture of facom J.360 J.171 side to side ? I'm trying to determine if the J.360 would fit in a foam module made for the J.171 without additionnal cuts... cheers!

What screwdrivers if money wasnt an issue?

Wow, amazing how it's like we were talking about a different product entirely. The tips of my Hudy wrench are precise down to a few microns. The tip actually need to be very much aligned with the screw to be able to fit. They are by far the most tight/precise fit of all wrenches I've used and...

What screwdrivers if money wasnt an issue?

Would you mind to elaborate ? Hudy wrench are known by the RC crowd for being the best money can buy, most of the debate is about whether they are worth the price or not. Some disagree about the value, very rarely about the quality. Only drawback I've found is the smallest size can snap if...

What screwdrivers if money wasnt an issue?

Hi all, IF you are looking for precision screwdrivers and wrenches, go for HUDY tools. They are hooby oriented so only the smaller sizes are available (up to 5mm for allen wrenches for example). Hudy wrenches. But the precision and quality is second to none and the best money can buy, AFAIK.

    Tools from the old world

Hey guys, For you information, FACOM has a brand new line of toolboxes. http://www.facom.com/fr-en/p-451-New-Roller-Cabinets-range-JET-.html The M4 line (4 modules per drawer) looks really good to me. Might pull the trigger one day...

    IR 2125 QTiMax questions

Hi all, Ok so the 2125 QTiMax is the little brother of the IR 2135 QTiMax which is known, among a few others, to be unstoppable when working on a car. AFAIK there is nothing on a car that a 2135 won't break loose. The 2125 is ratted for a little less than half the power of the 2135. -> 332...

    Facom S.155 ratchet screw issue?

Hi, Using Locktite solves the inconvenience, IFAIK. Tighten the screw until rotation is altered, back-off 1/8 turn, check for free rotation (both sides) and you should be done for good.

    Hi from France

Thanks everyone! Lol :p Actually I find that here in France we lack hardware stores. There are Castorama and Leroy Merlin, these can be found anywhere and they're big but the range of product is limited and they don't have any specialty items. Their prices on FACOM aren't any good. Besides...

    Hi from France

Hi guys, I've already posted but I've noticed this section just now. So here I am, a tool freak from France. As many of you I appreciate quality tooling and well designed machines. I'm buying some FACOM tools, kind of usually, but not always. Got myself an IR impact for example. Anyway, this...
