    Copper airline questions....

Ramblur, your design is one of the ones that I have modelled mine after, especially your takeoffs from your 3/4" main. I hope to get a chance to start cutting the super strut tomorrow for each of the mounting locations. I figure there will be about 5' of vertical pipe for each drop, having a...

    Copper airline questions....

My reason for the change in size was mainly cost related...12ft of 3/4" copper is $48 here, I believe 1/2" was around $24. By the time I bought the copper, fittings and ball valves, san the adapters to mate quick connects or the Superstrut for mounting purposes I was $200. By the time I...

    Copper airline questions....

This is a small shop, aka 2-car garage. My plan is to get this installed and next summer work on a small addition on the one side of my garage to build a compressor shed for a nice 60g Quincy that I found. For the time being it will be ran off of my existing compressor but I plan to design it...

    Copper airline questions....

If I am understanding correctly, you placed a valve to pressurize each drop, plus a valve to blow out each drop? This in addition to a "system" valve?

    Copper airline questions....

I am in the process of designing my copper, Type L, air line system for my garage. I am using 3/4" as the main line running along the ceiling line approximately 6" below to allow for take-offs on the top. There will be 4 drops in 1/2" line and 1 that will go to the hose reel on the ceiling...

    Ideal electrical layout?

I went with double gang boxes every 4' around the entire garage. One side was wired for 15A, the other for 20A....it is overkill by some but I never have to string extension cords. I also installed three outlets in the ceiling, one for the opener and the other ones for cord/light reels. On...

Montezuma 56" drawer slides info please

I am looking at a new chest/roller combo and am trying to decide between the 56" Montezuma or the "Mechanic's Edge" at my local Peavey Mart. There is no question on the Montezuma, great box but having it shipped into Canada puts its price with shipping, taxes, brokerage, etc. closer to $2000...

In search of a toolbox, opinions please

Finally made it to Peavey-Mart last night. Have to say I was fairly impressed with the selection. They have 56" International Value combo on sale, it isn't bad but the slides flex so that when the drawer is fully extended it can shift side to side. It is 24" deep which is nice although...

    Montezuma (StrictlyToolBoxes.com) + Canada

In Saskatoon, about a good 5 hours from the border. Taxes are 10%....I wonder what the value of the brokerage fee would be?

    Montezuma (StrictlyToolBoxes.com) + Canada

True, but that does little to explain the cost of vehicles. There is a 20-30% difference on most vehicles, even those made in Canada. In a perfect world trade between us would be exempt but it does not happen that way.

NAFTA never benefited Canada. Protectionism is the norm.

    Montezuma (StrictlyToolBoxes.com) + Canada

I am deciding on a tool box and have hit a bit of a roadblock. I love the look and specs of the Montezuma 56" roller/chest combo, all the reviews I have read put it to the front. The reviews of STB.com also put them on the inside track but there is the issue of cross border shopping with such...

In search of a toolbox, opinions please

Princess Auto here (Saskatoon) has the very low end International with slides that barely roll. I plan to check out Peavey Mart next, they always surprise me with good prices (Quincy compressors). The Canadian Tire one looks nice, feels nice but the depth of the drawers is a bit of a concern...

In search of a toolbox, opinions please

I am looking for a Toolbox. My requirements is sub 60", chest & cabinet, priced somewhere around $1500 I found this International Professional 53" on Sear's website but they do not have it in stock. I am considering it without the locker, comes in around $1400...

Pics: Mr Heater Big Maxx install

I am in the same position right now. Where the thimble would pass through the exterior wall is also home to the majority of my electrical wires that go to my sub-panel. The wires are all tacked down but is there a clearance issue with electrical wires? Obviously they would not touch the...
