Since I bought my FD+s I honestly haven't used a line wrench.... they grab that well.
Bulk up, It's probably a once in a lifetime opportunity to save big.
It really depends on the work you're doing. Ya, on HGs it's nice to use a 1/2" gun but I think a 3/8" is way more versitile. I love my CT8810 but also have a CT7850 for when I need it. The CT8810 can take of 150ft/lb lug nuts so I'm sure it'll yank HG bolts.
I'm pretty sure that's the same breaker bar my SO guy had a deal going on this week. Buy the breaker bar & get a 1/2" straight head rachet free. I think the price was around $180.
Ya. When I bought mine I had my guy order one, then, last week he said the part # for the boot disappeared from his system.. it ***** bc my nose cone is getting beat to ****
Dang..... OP can buy a real box if he chooses to, sounds like he's sick of dealing w subpar boxes & is looking to move in to something that will do what he wants it to do. Give him a break
Hmmmmm..... that's news to me & not what my Matco guy says.
My Snap On guy had a triple bank w/ hutch on his truck a few weeks ago, I don't remember the model #, it was green & only like 2 yrs old, he only wanted $2600 for it.
I like Snap On roll cabs but I wouldn't rule out Matco. I have 2 of them & actually like the quality of their drawer slides over Snap On. But ya, keep your eyes on CL & you can find some smokin deals.
I have this Bluepoint light also & am thoroughly impressed w it. I paid $160 on the SO truck. Sure, it's expensive but it beats the **** out of alternative lighting methods IMO.
I'm no pro.... much like you, self taught but I've picked up every ounce of knowledge from good/experienced welders along the way. That weld looks cold to me also, I don't see penentration in to the base metal.
It's cool to see other guys liking their 8810 too. Every day I use mine, I'm more impressed. I really like how it rips off lock nuts..... something my 4410 would moan n groan through or wouldn't do at all!
