I put on one coat of epoxy with flakes and found some areas that did not have as much epoxy as others. In order to put on a second coat, I tried to sand the first coat using a pole sander with 80 grit sand paper and also tried a Medium sanding screen.

Floor prep almost done. Filled cracks and expansion joints with Sikaflex self leveling sealant. I also painted the stem wall with black floor paint.
However, it's been almost two weeks since I washed the floors and the floor may have dust/sand on them.
Should I rewash the floor or just blow...
I am close to getting ready to put the epoxy on but thought of painting the part below the baseboard and above the floor (mainly for aesthetics). What is this portion called and can I paint it ? what paints can I use ?

When you say 'for the spalled or pitted areas, you can use the epoxy alone' - do I have the first fix the pitted areas with epoxy before applying it to the whole floor or will applying the epoxy on the whole floor cover up the pitted/spalled ares.
