I put on one coat of epoxy with flakes and found some areas that did not have as much epoxy as others. In order to put on a second coat, I tried to sand the first coat using a pole sander with 80 grit sand paper and also tried a Medium sanding screen.
All this appeared to do was to take off the flakes, and the epoxy is still shiny. I am thinking of renting a Floor Maintainer from HD and using it with a 80 grit sand paper. Anyone see a problem with this ? Will it take out too much of the first coat ? Any other options ?
