    Wall shelves for cans and misc.

    I have one of those hanging from the door shoe things. Hang it from the wall or over a door and it will hold about a dozen cans.

    Help plan the space beside my garage!

    The centered gate would look better. If it were offset I would put the shed against the garage wall. It won't stick up over the neighbor's side of the fence. You could use the garage as one wall and if you decide you want a light inside wiring would be easier.

    If you think acetone is bad check out the stuff in carb cleaner.

    The Family Handyman had an article on garage bump out. I don't see why you couldn't do something like that and not cut out the garage wall. Just put in a door and make it the size you want. http://www.rd.com/familyhandyman/content/43965/

    Window unit vs portable vs split system

    How about putting on either the batting or foam and cover it with some of thin plastic or fiberglass panel like for a bathroom or shower wall? It would keep the insulation from getting damaged and it would be smooth so it would be easy to keep clean. Bob
