The new connection will not be going through the existing structure. It will be 3 wire from the pole to the cabin. New ground rod at the cabin.

Thanks for the response. I figured there had to be a filter in there somewhere. We are planning for a system on an occasional use building. I probably need to stick with a more basic system since we shut the power down when we aren't there and the water wouldn't be moving.
Which is why even though I grew up near you (in Saginaw), I now live in Texas.
I'm guessing the hay bales are just to keep the cool breeze out from under the RV? That boiler is certainly a handy item to have. Much cheaper to run than the propane and natural gas heaters I used to use...
Did you design the rainwater system yourself, or get plans from somewhere? I have been doing some research on such systems, but from the pictures you posted I am curious about a couple of things.
