That's a good point. The garage will be segmented into an unheated 3 car garage in the front part and a heated motorcycle/workshop garage in the rear. I was planning on placing 2 extinguishers between the doors in the front and maybe I can recess a couple into the partition wall in the back...
I was looking at the ones on Grainger but without personal opinions on quality its tuff to tell how good or bad they are. I suppose I could also just build my own boxes and paint them fire engine red. Some of the manufacturers are very proud of their boxes judging by the prices!
I'm in the process of designing my garage and wanted to install some recessed fire extinguisher cabinets in different locations. I think it would just be a cleaner look than having the extinguisher hanging on a wall bracket or sitting on the floor. Does anybody have recommendations for some...
That sounds reasonable.
It wasn't until I joined up on this forum that I found out that speckled epoxied floors make it hard to find dropped fasteners and small parts so I guess my floor is now going to be a solid color. I figured asking about the stripe might divulge some tidbit of unknown...
I'm just curious why so many of the garages on the forum are painted with the stripe on the perimeter walls?:headscrat Does it serve some sort of purpose that I don't know about or is it simply for aesthetic purposes?
I'm pretty new to the forum and have been looking through many of the posts in the garage gallery section in order to get some design ideas. Since I am limited to the size of the garage I can place on the property, I find it very helpful when people mention the physical dimensions of their...
I was drooling over some of the machinery they have at this upcoming auction. Most of the stuff hardly looks used. How long could this place have been in business when even the forklifts don't have a scratch on them? They even have a 35 x 65 disassembled steel building to put all the stuff you...
Thanks guys. Jordan was a special man for sure.
The photo's don't do his work justice. He freehanded the whole thing and the part that took him the longest was the rifle that Jordan is holding because of all the detail. After he finished the air brushing, they clear coated over it. I...
Last May I was reading about our local auto tech kids getting a visit from a National Guard unit and getting a first hand look under the hood of a late model Humvee. They spent the day working on the vehicle and getting to know the ins and outs of the diesel engine with the help of 3 of the...
I bought boxes of Harley Davidson parts (gas tanks, fenders, mufflers, etc...) at a storage area yard sale for $100.00 and sold every last piece on EBAY for somewhere north of $2500.00. I didn't have any clue of their value or popularity but just knew they had to be worth more than $100.00.
I...
