    Welding eye arc?

Disclaimer: I am FAR from an expert/skilled welder. That said, I'm trying to learn, and getting better. I had a huge jump forward when I had a long-time professional welder adjust my helmet. Being a novice I endlessly messed with the settings, replaced the batteries, etc. Turns out I didn't...

    Tarps, canvas, vinyl, poly...

I'm in the process of switching from using tarps, which end up getting expensive, to the metal used to build pole barns. It's a bit of a drive but Central Illinois has a place where you can buy seconds. It ends up being about a $1.58 a lineal foot, and all the pieces are 3 ft wide. They will cut...

DIYers, how often do you use the correct tool?

Sorry, I thought you meant you needed a way to pull the trim off the wall. I've never pried any off that brought the nail with it--they always stay behind after pulling the tiny nail gun head through. The few times I've done what your picture shows I just used a channel lock upside down.

DIYers, how often do you use the correct tool?

A beekeeper's hive tool is perfect for doing that. One of these: https://www.mannlakeltd.com/9-quot-22-86-cm-hive-tool?gclid=Cj0KCQjwl6LoBRDqARIsABllMSZGdAKRFIVPkz9pwS1cDDC7UwdUQ0pNYIr8nLcgx5LJSPPXWNykmCcaAoE-EALw_wcB They are cheap, and made from spring steel, so they pry really, really...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

These have surely been mentioned, but I haven't seen it, so . . . The velcro "cord keepers" are fantastic-- https://www.harborfreight.com/10-in-hook-loop-cable-ties-20-pk-69074.html We put them on cords and even my power washer hose when not in use. Very strong velcro and just the right...

    Quality of Husky USA Sockets?

Not really relevant, but I was happy to get this "set" on Ebay a while back--said to be 1930s, but still in beautiful condition, and much better than the pics make them look. For $25 I was very pleased. I didn't need them, but wanted them "just because." https://www.ebay.com/itm/292922201249

    need center punch advice

The best "center punch" I have for making drill divots is the spent armor piercing core from a WWII .50 BMG bullet I found laying on the surface of a berm at a range. It is harder than a *****'s heart and is still extremely sharp after being bashed numerous times. Their natural shape is...
