Oil Interceptor for Garage Floor Drain

I'm aware of most of the issues regarding floor drains in a garage/shop. My intent is to tie in my garage drain with my gray water line and dump both into an Infiltrator system separate from my primary septic system. I'm wondering if any one out there is familiar with the Watts OI oil...

    Landscape H2O pressure

Alright then. Wow. This has been a learning experience. Thanks for the expertise. That's why i asked on this forum. Knowledge is a powerful tool and I feel I've gained some from this thread. Thanks to all. I'm up sizing my pipe size to at least 1", 1-1/4" if I can find it and...

    Landscape H2O pressure

Thanks to all reply's. Sounds like size matters. Will try to replace 3/4" with at least 1" or 1-1/4". Have Aqua Pex now but 200' of 1-1/4" Pex is over $400. May have to use just black pvc pipe. The run is mostly uphill so draining in the fall is possible, I just like the additional strength...

    Landscape H2O pressure

There seems to be no shortage of experience in all fields of expertise on this Forum. So, I'll throw in my question. I need some experienced plumbing advice. I have a deep well (400' +) with approx. 90 psi coming in to a 45 gallon pressure tank which drops to 60 psi for domestic water...

    Entertainment Setups

Some great looking (and I'm sure sounding) A/V set ups for your garages. Since there are obviously some serious audiophiles on this thread, maybe someone out there can tell me if there is a reasonable solution for my situation. I'm building my garage with 2 separate viewing areas, one for the...

    Multi zone motion sensor

I have done this and it will work but watch the wattage of the fixtures!! Since your running both fixture luminaires (lamps) through each individual P.C. (photo cell relay), the relay contacts must be rated for the additional fixture wattage. Some fixtures such as the 100-300 watt quartz type...

    Anyone using tireskate dollies?

Have looked at several brands myself over the last year. Most only had a 1000 lb. rating per skate. Found the AC-DELCO brand at my local Schucks. Each skate rated at 2000 lb. and $139 per pair. Work great.

    Increasing my garage door height

Garage Door panels are manufactured in 3" incremental heights. Therefore almost any height is obtainable (in 3" increments) by combining different size door panels. Most panel are 18", 21", 24" & 27" high. So your 84" door height can be increased to 87", 90", 93" etc. My installer doesn't...

alternative wood to OSB for pole barn interior walls?

Usually depends if the 'shop' is attached to a residence and/or proximity to another structure. I'm in the process of building my 32' x 44' shop w/ the new kitchen & dining room above it and all of this attached to our existing home. Not inside city limits but borough codes require all ceiling...
