Frank, Yes, I looked through your old post on the Craftsman 100 and 150 drill presses that was linked in one of the earlier posts. The set collar was loose, allowing the spindle to drop out. There is some "backlash" or vertical play in the quill that will need to be addressed in the future...

Ooh! Ooh! Pick Me! A 1/4" drive SK socket set was the first set of real tools that i bought back in the early eighties when I was 18 or 19 years old. I still have the set and will be giving it to one of my sons in my will. And they can carry on the legacy of use of these fine tools.

Over the last few months I've seen two or three vari-slo set-ups sell on ebay for what this package is going for. I agree with Red Leader - at $250 this is still a deal.
