    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Just an observation - had occasion to go to our HD yesterday to look for some Milwaukee string trimmer twine. This is a town of about 25K and a market area of about 120K and this is the only HD. I walked over to the outdoor tools section and zero Milwaukee. I did a second take and there were...

    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

Toolnut has a special on 2 m12 3.0 batteries and a charger for $99 + tax. Delayed shipping until late Dec. My pipefitter son likes the 3.0 for the heated hoodies he wears on the outside or unheated winter jobs. May not be a deal for everyone but saves me some...

    Condenser Coil Cleaner

Many techs now avoid using the pink acid-based cleaner and use the Nu-Brite alkaline foaming cleaner. The pink cleaner will erode coils with multiple uses. Be advised - the alkaline cleaner is not recommended for application on condensers with painted coil fins because it will strip the paint...

Help...R22 a/c died (100 deg) oil furnace...time to jump into the new millennium help

Could be several things. Something as simple as low refrigerant level keeping the compressor from kicking in. Techs will tell you R22 is very expensive now (and it is) but its not hard to find someone who has 2-3 pounds for a charge. You will probably want to put a set of gauges on it to at...

    New HVAC System

If the furnace still had some good years left - you can replace the r-22 with R407C and get more years out of the ac without needing any R22. You will have to have to add some POE oil to the compressor after you evacuate the r-22, but the thermal performance of the refrigerants is about equal...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

The string trimmer spool assembly is the only Milwaukee product I have ever purchased or used that I felt was just sub-par. Overall - plenty of power and good ergonomics but it constantly jams. Even with Milwaukee branded braided line - the upper spool consistently jams up and the string breaks...

    Snap On Repo Traded Tools?

As far as any interests Snap On retained in the tools - it would depend on the financing agreement and if they had filed a UCC financing lien at the time of sale. Technically - unlike a vehicle with a VIN or equipment with a serial # - it could be problematic to positively identity any hand...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

This returns center currently has a lot of Milwaukee product available. I have no connection to them. I have purchased from here a bit over the years and have received decent working tools. I also have received non-working tools within warranty that Milwaukee repaired free of charge. I have...

    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

This company appears to be resuming sales of individual returned or surplus Milwaukee tools. They had gone to pallets sales mainly. I've got no connection to them but I have been able to get some very good tools for not much money. Just check back every week or so for inventory updates...

    Harbor Freight Tools, I quit.

I have a rule and it has worked fine. If I need a hand tool I do not have, I will buy it there with the understanding it may be for one time use. I refuse to work under a vehicle supported by HF jacks or jack stands or lifts. I do not buy anything electronic or expensive there.

    Truck tool box parts

Update - Pretty impressive response from Apex Tool Group. They responded in a manner of hours and said they are sending me a key. If anyone has questions about their tools or parts, which include a number of name brands, you can reach them here: [email protected]

    Truck tool box parts

I have recently acquired a pickup with a decent aluminum tool box without any external branding or a key for the lock. Inside the cover there are two stickers. One says ATG - Jonesboro, which I assume is Apex Tool Group (now selling Delta branded boxes.) The other has a model number of 1-235000...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I would really like to see Milwaukee come out with an m12 HVAC swage tool for copper tubing that would replicate what the Hilmor and the YellowJacket hydraulic hand tools do. It would function very similar to the ProPex expansion tools, except it would be more robust to expand soft copper tubing...
