How are you guys putting a value on your tools in the garage? My wife asked me the other day if something were to happen to me she obviously would not keep my tools and she would need to sell them what I have is not top-of-the-line stuff but good old made the USA Craftsman in 3 small roll-a-ways...

I bought one 4-5 years ago and it has been flawless! Oregon bar and quality chain when I bought it. If it is still the same you can't go wrong for the price.

I have a Sears Craftsmen 2 Stage Oxy - Acetylene Welding and Cutting Outfit 9-5441 that is new in the box never used that I received as a gift 40 years ago it was made by Harris in the USA. Any concerns about using it? The hoses will be replaced as they are pretty stiff.

I have had two of the Porter Cable 330 for 20 plus years now and they are bullet proof at the time it was the best available. I don’t use them often but when I do they are worked hard and they have never failed. Assuming the build quality is still the same I would give them a serious look...

Thanks for all of the replies, seeing the different code dates it is possible to have V & VV in the same Craftsman set from Sears.

Did Craftsman ever mix VV&V in the same set? I purchased a few Craftsman tool sets back in the mid 70’s as a teenager and going through the combination wrench set which I know is original there are both V&VV. Did the V&VV designate the date of manufacture or who the manufacture was? Thanks
