Harry J Epstein Day / Wright Tool Meet-Up

August 14 is good for me. Does Wright have a policy on PSE for tours? Safety glasses or shoes? Some plants I have visited have requirements, others don't.

    New trailer project

That bed liner is an interesting idea. I was under the impression that it only came in black, but Durabak seems to have quite a few colors available.

    New trailer project

I used epoxy over wood on my enclosed trailer, but I did it for reasons of cost. I really wanted to use coin rubber flooring, but that stuff is pretty pricey. That said, it seems to me that "rubber" is the ideal material if you are concerned about thermal expansion. When the floor moves due...

    Pond-next steps

We have some white amur to help to keep down vegetation. They are sterile and can't reproduce. Aeration would be good. I should do that to our pond. Not sure about solar, but I have seen little "windmill" type air pumps. (dang, JeepYJ beat me to it)

105x20 7k or 10k enclosed trailer for moving and resale

20 is too short. 24 is minimum, and in my opinion, the sweet spot.

    Hydronic/Boiler System Turn Down ??

That is how it was plumbed in my last house. Boiler was required to be operational year around, if you wanted hot water for showers, etc.

    Are Air Compressors still necessary?

I'm with JuncleJohn - I have 3 also. For me, personally, I can't imagine being without significant compressed air. That said, I do have friends who get by with skimpier air compressors. One in particular only works on late model cars (no rust), doesn't restore anything, all tools battery...

    First time building

All I can say is, figure out how big you can afford, and then make it bigger. 22 x 24 seems marginal. My current garage (I do have a barn for workshop) is 22x22 and it's too GD small. My full size P/U leaves about 6" on the front, and 6" on the rear. Wife has to get out before I pull into...

Harry J Epstein Day / Wright Tool Meet-Up

Wow. Count me in. It's an hour 20 from my current house, but looking at the map, I (almost) know where they are located, since I used to work not terribly far from there. I'm retired and can make it almost any day.

Porcelain tile in garage in Canada

Once, I spent a couple of days working out of a BMW development garage outside of Munich. They had tiled floors in the garage. It looked awesome, and apparently was holding up just fine to constant use/abuse and German winters.

Any reason to seal concrete in my shop?

Epoxy. If you apply sealant, you will never be able to epoxy over it. I am currently living with the previous owner's decision to seal the barn concrete, and the epoxy that I applied over it has pretty much no adhesion. Looks like he##.

    Harry J Epstein Day 2026

Oh, you mean Wright Tools in Barberton. Stupid me, I totally didn't get that. Even though I used to live on the west side of Akron.

    Harry J Epstein Day 2026

As a propeller head, I gotta ask, "The Wright Factory" ? Please explain.

    Lisle Tap Socket Set 70500

Are there any issues with chips getting inside the socket, attracted by the magnet?

Brake Bleeding, Hand Pump, Air Bubbles, Grease on Valve?

I used to use the Mityvac hand pump method. Yes, grease on the base of the bleed screw to keep air from getting sucked in. Any grease will work. In my experience, it doesn't get sucked into the brake system, so exact type of grease doesn't matter. OR, a better solution is to remove the bleed...
