Verdict on the HF Service Cart?

I’ve had one for about 3 months, and it’s been great. Putting it together some stuff didn’t line up well, but with some bending and adjusting it’s good to go. I’ve loaded it down with probably 300-400 LBs, and it rolls around great. I’d defiantly buy another one Sent from my iPhone using...

Harbor Freight 3 Ton Daytona Jack Versus Snap On FJ300 Jack

Old thread, but I’ve read through all of it, and I haven’t seen any pics of a brand new FJ300 jack posted yet. A little background: I own a small shop. I specialize in engine and transmission repair, but I end up working on pretty much everything. I’ve been through 2 harbor freight jacks in...

    Air compressor intake extensions/muffler box

Ya I’m aware of what Solberg has to offer. I’m not looking for an in line scilencer, I’m looking to route the intake out of the building, and into a box where there is an air filter.

    Air compressor intake extensions/muffler box

Ok, so I’ve got a 80Gal, 5HP Jenny air compressor I bought new this spring for my small auto repair biz. Love it, but it’s loud. The air filters are screwed into the heads with 3/4 NPT *******. So.... can I have some good 3/4 hoses made and route the intake wherever I want, and into a muffler...

    Grinding concrete

Ok, thanks for the info everyone. I will pick up a diamond cup wheel and get that smoothed out, and I’ll use a dust mask and make sure to keep it moving and go slowly. The phone pole is kind a long story. The guy that built the garage back in the 80s built it with phone poles. It’s a pole...

    Grinding concrete

Hey folks. I’m sure I could google this and get info, but it’s been a while since I’ve been on here, so I’m gonna bother you folks. What grinding disk do I use to level out some small sections of concrete? My lift arms drag on little sections that are slightly higher. It’s not the lift. I...

    Snap-On Flank Drive Extra

They’re poop. I bought a set, and hated them. Traded them in for a set of normal snap on sockets. They’re good extractors, but they grip a little too tight, and I always ended up using a punch to knock the bolt/nut out of the socket

    Manly Writing Utensils

I have a Microtech Siphon II, and it’s amazing. The craftsmanship and finishing is perfect, and it’s been a very nice pen for a long time. For day to day writing out in the garage, I either use the Microtech, or a retractable Jetstream .7

Quincy Compressor Quality Control (or Lack Thereof)

Wow. Nice job from Quincy getting it right, and defiantly good of them to upgrade it for you. I once took a marketing class in college, and they told us that it takes 11 good experiences to make up for one bad experience. Quincy defiantly is trying their best to make up for a bad experience...

Quincy Compressor Quality Control (or Lack Thereof)

Just a quick note: if for some reason you get another failed unit, maybe get a refund and look into Jenny? I believe they’re completely made in the US. The one I got about 2 weeks about appears to be completely USA made. The only part that said “China” was the pipe plug in the side of it. But...

    Tandem Air Compressor Theory

I’m a full time auto shop. And the tanks are never emptied. They’re full and on 24/7. No leaks at all, so they don’t run during the night at all. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

    Tandem Air Compressor Theory

Ok, thanks for the input. I realize I’m overthinking it. But I wanted to see what other people do, and see if my setup was correct Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app
