Can you recommend a Smoke Machine Leak Tester for under $200?

Autool $200 direct from China model now says EVAP support. I don't know what is different about EVAP models. Not much Amazon feedback for Autool. Anyone know their products? https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/cr/B0758C5YQ6/ref=mw_dp_cr https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XKGS5Q5/?tag=atomicindus08-20

White Industries 6R freon recovery machine

To partially answer my questions, I found a manual for unit. The main routine item seems to be replacement of filters. $60 for the filter core. http://www.snaponequipment.com/Common/productmanuals/AC/0692-9251/1234XL-UM.pdf

White Industries 6R freon recovery machine

Yeah, Good questions I should answer... But if I was game to put a few hundred bucks -and the floor space- into a pro machine, is this a good one to have?

White Industries 6R freon recovery machine

I've come across this machine for modest $. Garage says it is in good order and will through in a nonworking twin for spare parts. (I've not seen yet) Really, more than I need, but could be cool to have a pro machine. Any one familiar with this model? Would it be a good bet for reasonably...

AC - Choosing a dual 134a/12 gauge set

I'm interested in being able to work with both gasses for my 134a VW as well as an R12 '83 BMW (I know a R12 source). I found these two setups from Yellow Jacket and Robinair. Given this price range (~$100) are these best choices? What is there to distinguish them (other than need to buy quick...

Hand impact driver with torx bit?

Thanks, guys. I ordered the Wiha bit holder that stonesfan68 mentioned. That will leave me a few options with impact driver or just ratchet.

Hand impact driver with torx bit?

Thanks, guys. Have three good solutions here. And I've learned about quality driver sources. Now to see if I can get one delivered quickly and cheaply. BTW, wanted to go hand impact driver route as was starting to strip screw head just with L handle torx wrench. These are...

Hand impact driver with torx bit?

Yes. And then what to go from 1/2 to T27 conveniently? 1/2 drive 1/4" sockets - to hold a standard bit - seem uncommon. I now located a 1/4 drive impact on Amazon and that may be best way to go...

Hand impact driver with torx bit?

I'm taking the transmission pan off a VW. Held on by a lot of T27 screws - that are sticking. I want to try a hand impact driver. But not sure what setup will fit. (I have an oldie Craftsman 1/2 inch hand driver with the standard 5/16 hex bits. Don't see easy way to get a torx bit with this. )...

School me about this Century welder

Thanks for all the insightful replies! I guess I'll hold out for a DC machine. I tipped off a couple buddies about this likely solid freebee.

School me about this Century welder

An uninformed neighbor is discarding this Century 230 amp / infinite amp selection welder. He thinks it "worked" some years ago. I don't know about welding either... But was thinking about learning and would be interested in a machine that could do either auto sheet metal or say 3/8 plate steel...

How to: Build an emission smoke leak detector

I'm getting ready to work one up as well. Perhaps allowing for use with nitrogen. Any more experience with these builds in past month? Thanks for all the plans and ideas!
