I usually only play with name brand commercial equipment (my disclaimer). Do you have power going to the combustion (Inducer) motor? If yes and it is not turning that would be an issue. If air flow is not proven nothing else should happen.
1) 1 uADC for a flame sense sounds too low to me. Clean the flame sense rod with a scotchbrite pad or emery cloth.
2) When the fan kicks on makes it sound like the roll out switch. Are you testing the operation with a multimeter? Are there any signs of a cracked heat exchanger? I know you...
I will second the add insulation vote. Insulation is a thermal barrier that will resist a temperature change. Keeps the heat you have in during the winter and keeps the heat out during the summer months.
Interesting thread and I am on the side of plywood finish. It will give my shop the warm woodworker feel. As stated repairs behind the wall are made easily. The mah and pah lumber yard I deal with recommended it saying it would be about the same cost to do the plywood over drywall in the long...
Any appliance requires a regulator to reduce from line pressure down to the appliance pressure regardless of fuel type. That way you do not burn buildings down.
Just my own thought here but the high limit should not take out the pilot. The loss of the pilot signal would take out the burner. Have you checked the heat exchanger for cracks? Have you checked the millivolt signal of the pilot?
Is there a chance you could post a model and serial number of the evaportator? Even for those with access to Carrier we would have to provide that info.
Finally warming up here a bit and looking forward to working on the inside of my garage and finishing it. Here are some pictures of what has been done so far. I will be finishing the inside of the shop with double studded walls for lack of a better description. This will allow for more...
I was merely trying to cover all angles. Excessive welding smoke or rattle can paint jobs on cars requires fresh air. Opening the garage door drops the temp too much in the winter and will ruin the paint job. I highly doubt most residential garages would need mechanical air changes for...
Well a stainless steel heat exchanger is supposed to last longer than aluminized which is why you pay more for it. It is not always a guarentee. Things that kill exchangers are condensation during off cycles at any time of the year and also over firing the burner. This last one will kill...
