With age wisdom is supposed to come, but not for all of us. I ask myself often do you really need 12 Snap on ratchets. I think I am going to find some young guys who want to be gearheads and give them stuff that is nice, not the junk tools. Family is not interested. Just my opinion on this subject.

I have seen this many times in my career in the floor business. I have read the other posts. Here is my recommendation, if you leave it alone, over time they will be fine. It may take a little longer since you are going into the high humidity season.
I have a 60 gal stand up air compressor that has a drain on the side about 5" up from the bottom. I open the valve and drain it regularly. My question is what about the area from the drain opening down? Is it designed to push all the water out of the opening or is there water below the valve?

Firebrick43, I would bet a rotted window was probably due to an installation issue. I built 18 years ago spent extra money on insulation and Anderson doors and windows, it is a very quiet efficient house. All of the windows are fine.
