Yes its going to be prebent by the steel shop 4" lip down the front and 4" backsplash.
I was always leaning towards of plywood under just for sound deadening.
While building this i realized my garge is 2" lower from from front to back lol.
So got the benches built now time for 3/16 metal tops going on. Should i just slap the tops ontop of the 4x4 or shouls i put some plywood inder before? i have bunch of 1/2" im thinking of going down 1st.
Anybody see any issues with using pressure treated 4x4 for a work bench build? I have access to alot of them for next to nothing. Ill be painting them once the benches are built before the steel tops go on them.
The only reason we even looked at our house is because i was doing drive by looks and notice the 8ft door on the garage. I called my wife right there and said set up a viewing! The online pics were awful of the house but in person it was beautiful 1928 home. The garage isnt a monster but i can...
All great ideas guys! I just didnt have any real projects going on she could help. I know she will be happy doing anything in the garage. She loves wearing safety glasses lol.

I use leaf blower to get all the resting dust ontop of stuff. Blow it once then wait a couple hours then give it another shot. Then ltr that night i break out the shop vac and clean the floors and under stuff etc.
Just go with a single wythe wall. Wood frame it then just do a veneer the cost will be expensive to have a decent bricklayer relay the double wythe wall. In Ont. they are paying $1.25 per brick laid and are short of guys.
Any hookups for older model cabinets? i have ones from prob 6 years ago and i need to match one upper cabinet for the remodel of my garage its a 26" wide 16" deep 2 door. They dont even make a 16" deep cabinet anymore.
So this is my design I've worked on to lay out my benches. The large 34" opening I will tuck my 2 welders into. Im torn on the space beside the 34" opening on weather to put a shelf there or leave it fully open. I had thought of maybe a small mobile welding cart i can tuck away under it. I dunno...
