Ok guys what is the easiest way to put C clip on pump valve assembly while compressing spring. I am totally out of words while attempting to assemble this together as it causes a disturbance in the neighborhood. Not really but I would love to hear your technique as I know there must be an easier...
I have disassembled the jack to be sure all parts were in correctly and they were. I will preface this to say that I did not however disassemble the pump valve. The pump still lifts approximately 25% of height then it will not lift any high but the pump works and it seems like I am pumping air...
Also does anyone have a picture of the cup already installed on the ram for this pump, according to the parts list I am not seeing #66 K# 071 on my jack, thanks
I can find entire rebuild kits online but thought if someone had an extra kits or even the parts I need as I am only rebuilding part of the jack. If you have a kit you did not use or a partial kit with parts I need. just send me a message maybe we can help each other out. Thanks
Thanks I have confirmed fluid issues by bleeding and refilling without any change. The jack will only raise approximately 25% of capacity , again this is after a rebuild. There are no leaks. As mentioned I did tighten the overload screw before disassembly to determine overload setting. At this...
In regards to the issue how would you address it? Rebuild and hone cylinder? As I recall the cylinder wall looked great but I believe what your suggesting is the issue
I rebuilt this old sears jack (made in US) when lift my truck I would day it lifts the vehicle 25% of maximum, then stops even though I am pumping. I have rechecked the fluid level now actually have too much in it but no changes . I appreciate any ideas, thanks
I have a Sears 1.5 Ton jack I want to restore and need to know if this outter nut needs to be removed? Also ideas on where to source a kit for it, thanks
There is only one way to put the ram seal on, I feel confident about the way the leather washers were installed on the valve and I tightened the nut enough to make it difficult to move the valve in and out of the cylinder,
I filled reservoir until fluid is just over the ram cyclinder, when lifting the jack platform I could not see the fluid level change at all. I would assume it would fill the RAm cylinder a decrease fluid amount there. I did not see any debris in the suggested port. Do you think I am using enough...
