Snap on now requires receipts to get warranty replacement

Having read through a few of the similar threads on here, I noticed that, whilst most understand that Snap On dealers are independent franchise owners, and that sometimes there are some who may have some "deficiencies" in their customer service and development skills, hardly anyone seems to...

Snap on now requires receipts to get warranty replacement

Ahem, You just need to look on this board to see many many DIYers who spend a stack of cash on Snap On tools. I admit that I've bought a few from eBay, but I've also bought a lot from the trucks. In the last 2 months alone, I've spent around $5000 on Snap on Tools & Boxes. I'm not particularly...

That's no fun, plus I believe the OP is doing cash on collection.

    Triumph Spitfire on car dolly

As noted in the post, the Triumphs are broken down to individual models, whilst most other Marques have a more generic Iconic colour. Iconic Marque colours rarely change, for instance, Audi & Mercedes have always been silver, Ferrari always Scarlet. Triumph seems to have been an exception. As...

Snap on Announced USA stamp coming back on ratchets

Oh come on now, that's a bit of a generalisation don't you think? Chrome stuff, Ratchets, Wrenches, Sockets, I'm with you all the way, Tool boxes too. But when it comes to Pliers (Except Vise Grips), I'm Knipex (German) through and through, I have SO, MAC and Knipex Pliers and the Knipex are...

What is your tool truck balance?

Big fat 0 right now. Largest balance I've had was $600 with Snap on, and $1600 with MAC. Technically, that $1600 is still with MAC, a week after I took delivery of a brand new Roll cab and MIG welder, the MAC man disappeared, never to be seen again (I have an Alibi). As the credit was with...

    Triumph Spitfire on car dolly

Actually, I think you'll find the Icon Colour for a Spitfire (or GT6) is actually Magenta: Note the lack of railroad buffers on the front also. For reference, British car Icon Colours: MG - British Racing Green Triumph Spitfire & GT6 - Magenta Triumph Stag - Yellow Triumph Dolomite Sprint &...

    Triumph Spitfire on car dolly

Dear Americans, We've had a vote and you are all hereby banned from making changes to any model of vehicle designed in Great Britain, especially in regard to bumpers. You've brought it upon yourselves, as evidenced above. Sincerely Great Britain P.S. We invented everything you know...

    Wiha made in CHINA!??

As the label is made applied by the Croatian Distributor, and not the actual Manufacturer (who stamped the handle), I'd say the Croatian Distributor made a BooBoo, probably because most of the stuff they import is made in China, and they Cut & Paste into label templates.

    Drilling some weird concrete.

Ummmmmm, 1: None of those links refer to the manufacturer's website 2: They mostly refer to Hammer drills correctly, as in those colorfully described as "Toys" that with one exception from Milwaukee, don't have recommendations for drilling in Concrete (cement isn't concrete) 3: The Hilti one...
