    Knife sharpeners

What do you guys recommend. I have lots of different types, cooking and hunting so is there a sharpener that will handle all kinds of knives? Lots of internet reviews and options but just looking for real world feedback. Thanks in advance.

Help Bury a Pressure Reducing Water Valve

Thanks for all the reply's. I did note, the 1 1/4 valve seemed much more expensive that say a 1". Guess its not so common therefore, mark it up. No water heaters to deal with as I have tankless and can't imagine that 50-60psi would be a problem for a tankless. I do think I'll bury close by...

Help Bury a Pressure Reducing Water Valve

I did ask water Co but they say it’s a home owner project. Good idea on install close to the meter. I was worried about distance of “regulated” water flow to the house which is why I thought I should install closer to the house. As I type, I have heard of people install PRV closer to meter...

Help Bury a Pressure Reducing Water Valve

Good reminder on unions. I found a valve with double unions. Will make it easier to service. Just trying to decide whether to install it ground level or in line with pipe,3 ft down. I sized the new service pipe strictly on the distance from the meter to the house. It’s a newly built house so I...

Help Bury a Pressure Reducing Water Valve

I live in Texas so freeze not an issue. House uses PEX so easier for me to work with pvc and it allows me to reduce pressure on the water going to my shop if I put the valve outside. House slab built and no basements here in texas.

Help Bury a Pressure Reducing Water Valve

Ok, dumb plumbing question. I have 1 1/4" pvc water pipe coming from the meter box for about 300 ft to the house. I measure water pressure at the house faucets and have 95psi. Way to high. Therefore, I'm installing a PRV to get me closer to 50psi. My problem is the pipe is buried about 3...

    Dumb battery charger ?

Trying to charge up some dozer battery's. I have a century 200amp wheeled charger. When I plug in and begin charging, on the 40amp setting, it dawned on me to wonder whether the 15amp circuit I'm plugged into will produce more that 15 (ish) amps. So am I getting a 40 amp charge or a 15 amp...

    Boat Dock Subpanel Ground

Setting up a sub panel in my over water boat dock. 120' run from the main and will run 6/3 uf (I hope) under the walkway and up into the storage room. I am thinking 50 amps will be plenty to run boat lift motors and a few plugs and lights. Water level is typically 2 ft below walkway and...

    Trenching with backhoe for electric

Well a couple responses. It was a good deal on a non rental unit. Came with cab, extendahoe, thumb and 1500hrs. County maintained. Figured I could buy a used smaller bucket at some point. There is no frost line in Texas so no worries there. This trench will be covered with concrete driveway at...

    Trenching with backhoe for electric

I may check on renting a bucket but think I will just go for it and deal with more fill material. Thanks for the responses.

    Trenching with backhoe for electric

So I own a Deere 310k backhoe and it has a 36" bucket on it. I need to trench 100' of underground for 2" conduit to the barn. What are the downfalls with that wide of a trench. Since I own it I would rather not rent a trencher. Any thoughts?
