Got the power done, added a double pole switch to isolate the lift power.
Air will be next. Bolted unistrut to the lift post so I could run conduit and air pipe on the same supports.
Anyone have pictures of added air and power to a two post auto lift?
It would be handy to have air and poetry at my lift. Thinking of attaching pipe to the side of one post. Any thoughts?
I use my cheapo Harbor Freak heat gun, works great and doesn’t burn the shrink tubing. Gets hot enough to melt the new heat shrink with solder.
I now use the marine heat shrink that has the extra glue in it. Really like that stuff.
When I needed some, I saw a cable company truck doing work. Stopped and asked the guy if there was any way I could buy some cable with ends.
He asked what I was looking for and I told him a couple 50’ lengths.
He said no problem, rolled it off, installed ends and didn’t charge me anything...
Would like to glue foam board insulation to the interior of a metal Quonset building. The temp. of the steel gets pretty hot in the summertime, hot enough you can’t touch it. Haven’t checked actual temp. But is likely 160 degrees or more. Summertime temps can go over 100 degrees here and with...
I used 14'walls, but that was driven by the fact I installed a 12' auto lift and I fabricate some sheet metal and use 12' sheets that are moved around.
It is much harder to heat and light being that tall. As for wall storage, anything stored on walls have difficult access if over 8' , so a lot...
Tried posting in other areas on the site with no luck, so decided to try here.
I acquired an old Black and Decker table saw. A 1980's model 1732.
It uses a toothed drive belt.
Have the instruction manual, but there is no parts list in it and would like to get a spare belt.
Anyone have an idea...
I used sheet metal, laid it under and turned the front edge up, similar to what you did with the snow board. The sheet metal rolled up in front is slick and slides over the ground, small rocks and junk, yet doesn't dig in when you drag it...
I am the opposite of you, I wish the rest of the world would convert to our system. I too went to school in the 50's and 60's and learned metric and how it was so simple to use. Maybe so, but our system works, has worked for over a hundred years and doesn't need replaced.
What needs fixed is...
Verify what gauge your aluminum feed is. Normally aluminum feed is used on higher amp circuits to save cost of large gauge copper.
Now if you were wiring in from the start, a 30' run of copper is a small expense, so go to larger gage aluminum is no big savings. But you have aluminum in place, so...
Has anyone installed a storm door over a steel cased mandoor?
I want to install a storm door over my steel door in a metal building.
Any suggestions and pictures are appreciated.
