Wire a Dremel tool to turn the other way?

Davefr -- good point! I never even thought of that. I mainly use the cutoff wheels. I wonder if they would unscrew... I'm beginning to think about leaving well enough alone.

Wire a Dremel tool to turn the other way?

mark#3 -- Is its chuck the same as a regular Dremel? I'm thinking the way it's arranged the bit doesn't put forces on the threads to loosen (or tighten) them. Read just now abt universal motors and reversing them, like in drills. Thanks, DennisG! Going to try it.

No, I'm just pulling your leg.

Wire a Dremel tool to turn the other way?

Can it be done? It throws debris in my face, when I'd really rather it threw it at the floor...

What's the difference between these ratchets, if any?

I think the only difference for your purposes is in the pawl and the lever. The two together are interchangeable as a unit but the lever for one won't fit the pawl for the other. So the kit should work if it has both a lever and a pawl.

    Help with a craftsman ratchet

I had the same thing happen with a 43785 and the ball was a 1/8", a standard hardware store item. Was 17 cents. They're over in the drawers with the nuts and bolts...

    Winter car storage concerns

Maybe you could have an agreement for the customer to sign that would eliminate all your responsibility and put the responsibility on the customer (or his insurance). That would be the way to go unless you live in an anti-business area with laws that force you into the opposite situation.

    Guilty Pleasure...Spray Paint

On the motorcycle I did the color with Duplicolor dark cherry metallic on the tank and side covers. Those touch-up cans from Advance. Then two or three coats of Duplicolor clear. They are some kind of fast drying lacquer. Then followed up on the tank with the Spraymax 2k clear, only for...

A safety reminder, I learned the hard way.

Knowing how many times my regular eyeglasses have saved my sight, if I didn't need glasses I would probably still get glasses, with neutral lenses with no correction, and wear them all the time like I do with my glasses. Polycarbonate lenses. I've had everything in the world bounce off my...

    Guilty Pleasure...Spray Paint

I used Spraymax 2k clear for the last coats on a motorcycle tank. It has turned out to be totally gas resistant, which was why I was using it and what I was hoping for. It will cut and buff to a real high shine. It is nasty stuff with serious health warnings though. I sprayed it outside...

    Did You Ever...

It do, boss! Already knowing where the fasteners and snaps were turned it from a 1 hr job to a 3 minute job. And the panel fasteners aren't the kind that break off -- cudos to that guy.

    Vintage Craftsman Ratchet

It clearly has "Forged" stamped on it. I have never seen a real one.

    Generator (ethenol) gasoline storage.

Are you ever worried about carb gaskets "drying out" like the OP? I've left motorcycle carbs drained for months with no issues. Kinda seems like not a real concern to me...

    Did You Ever...

Did you ever take a car door apart and replace the window regulator and then put it all back together nice and pretty...and then remember you left the regulator and motor only finger tight? Not as bad as doing that with lug nuts I guess...
