    Craftsman/Sears, Vise ID by Catalog

Actually- I did look through that thread and found a 5244 (4" jaw version). All of them have the Craftsman trade name cast in. I'm just going to assume that for whatever odd reason, someone ground it off. This suits me just fine, as ultimately I really just wanted to know who made it. It's a...

    Craftsman/Sears, Vise ID by Catalog

Awesome to see this thread is still active- thanks Outlaw for your work in this thread!! I just stumbled on this after trying to identify a vice I've had for over 20 years. It came from my grandpa and has been an absolute workhorse all my life. As best as I can tell, it appears to be a Craftsman...

HF Toolboxes Workbench - Phase 3

Really enjoyed this thread- some great ideas here! Quick question: for those of you who mounted your boxes quite low to the ground, are you missing the toe kick space? Is it uncomfortable to stand at the bench for a period of time without a space for your toes?

    Cabinet Score on Craigslist

I personally think they look fantastic! I wouldn't have the $$$ flow, but I would think up to $2000 would be appropriate.

    mid rise lift opinions

Thanks mikeyr. I also found some good reading about these on the corvette forum: Bend-Pak MD-6XP and... Ramps to get on lift (for those of us with lowered cars) They also mention that the lifts are rock solid on that forum.

    mid rise lift opinions

Can anyone comment on the stability of these lifts side-to-side? For example, if I had the car all the way up, and was trying to break a stuck tire loose- would I need to be concerned about the unit falling over? They just don't look that stable to me (from the pics anyway).

    Does this look sane? Wiring

In order to not give bad advice... I did just a bit more research on the Edison Circuit. My last post said to use two seperate breakers on opposite sides of the box. While this will work, it is not a good practice. Wikipedia makes a good point about this...

    Does this look sane? Wiring

Yes, I am sorry I forgot to mention this... If you put the red wire to a breaker on the left side of the box, and the black wire to a breaker on the right side of the box, then you should be fine.

    Does this look sane? Wiring

The having the third wire just makes it easier on install. For every other box, the third (red) wire won't be touched. For the opposite boxes, though- you would use the red wire as your hot and the black wire wouldn't be touched. When I say "wouldn't be touched" I mean that it isn't hooked to...

    Does this look sane? Wiring

I have a couple thoughts on your plans: 1) On your outside receps- use 12/3 w/g and alternate every other outlet. This will put every other outlet on a breaker. To me- that makes more sense then one feed per side. 2) I REALLY think you should alternate your power to the lights. In the provided...
