I'm putting down "rustic" hickory flooring for my woodshop. Needless to say, rustic means lots of knot holes, cracks, and width variance. Anyone have any experience with the products on the market? Please advise.

I get it when it comes to radiant heat, but have decided against it because of two factors: #1 It takes too long to heat from dead cold (do not think I want to heat all the time); and #2 It would cost nearly $6700 to install. The propane option is around $2400. The mini split both heats and cools.

Thanks for all the pros and cons, guys. I think I will likely go with inside as I will likely bring water out (200ft from house) and will place the utility sink and commode under the stairs. Really like the idea of an opening with a winch or block and tackle in the middle, too. :thumbup:
